With long gray hair, he walked onto the catwalk wearing Northeast flower cotton pants, calmly waved his arms to the audience under the stage, and instantly detonated the audience with his own unique style.
Soon, this solo catwalk, which was only a few seconds away, was popular all over the Internet. This old man is Wang Deshun, and what is less known is that behind his popularity is a 60-year wait.

Born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in 1936, Wang Deshun was a down-to-earth northeasterner. He was born in a rural family, and although the family conditions were not very good, he was very able to bear hardships and stand hard work. As a conductor in a tram company as a young man and later as a worker in a military factory, the prosaic hardships of life did not make him give up his pursuit of art, and he would seize it as soon as he had the opportunity.
Fortunately, at that time, the factory workers could attend classes at the Cultural Palace for free, which was a great thing for Wang Deshun.
He is like a sponge constantly absorbing knowledge and nutrients, from recitation to vocal music, from dance to drama. He refused to let go of any field he could learn, because he knew that if one day he had the opportunity to devote himself to the cause of literature and art, these accumulations would be the best helpers on the way forward.
In 1960, the 24-year-old Wang Deshun came into contact with the Shenyang Military Region Anti-Enemy Drama Troupe by chance. Although he did not have the experience of drama performance before, he had the experience of studying at the Palace of Culture, which naturally became his plus. So Wang Deshun successfully entered the Shenyang Military Region Anti-Enemy Drama Troupe and became a drama actor.
When he was a drama actor in the drama troupe, Wang Deshun was very dedicated, and he could perform two or three plays a day, and because of this, teachers and classmates also gave him the nickname of "Desperate Sanlang".
Because Wang Deshun was older and was obviously less flexible than other people in physical fitness class, he could only work hard and pull the muscle ligaments apart little by little. Doing so will undoubtedly bring him a lot of pain, but Wang Deshun does not think so, not only because of his responsibility for his work, but also because of his love of art.
Day after day, Wang Deshun stayed in the repertory theater for ten years. In 1970, After being demobilized, Wang Deshun was assigned to the Changchun Drama Theatre. Here, his drama career ushered in a new peak.
When I was in the Changchun Drama Theatre, when the old actors there mentioned Wang Deshun, the biggest impression was that the image was good and hard work. In addition, he can not only memorize the lines well, but also form his own understanding and analysis on this basis.
But accidents always come unexpectedly, because they need to mobilize all emotions to perform dramas, and substitute the characters as much as possible, so that the audience can have a sense of reality. Therefore, every time Wang Deshun will almost forget to interpret his performance.
In the drama "Ten Thousand Waters and a Thousand Mountains", Wang Deshun plays a Red Army instructor. In the script, he is unconscious after being injured and needs a messenger to call to wake up. But he went too deep into the play, really fainted on the stage, and later it was other actors who slapped him before waking him up.
On the way home, when he was still excited about his performance in the play, he suddenly felt only a dizziness, and when his eyes went black, he fell to the ground. After the doctor's examination, he learned that he had a autonomic disorder, and continuing to perform emotionally is likely to become mentally ill.
This means that he can no longer perform in the same way as before, but if he is not fully engaged, how can he fully show the role? Wang Deshun's performance fell into a bottleneck for a while.
Just as the so-called mind is not forgotten, there will be an echo, and soon his confusion will be answered. One day six months later, when the vice president of the Central Academy of Drama came to the Changchun Drama Theatre to give a lecture, he mentioned that actors should externalize their emotions and not stick to specific forms of expression.
This gave Wang Deshun a great inspiration, and later when he went to the deaf and dumb school to perform for students, he felt that the true meaning of performance lay in the transmission of spirit. Gradually, he became interested in pantomime, and also opened a pantomime class in a school for the deaf and dumb, slowly exploring the mysteries of pantomime himself.
In 1981, the famous Austrian mime master Zami Morshaw came to Beijing to perform, and Wang Deshun's wife was also studying in Beijing. She carefully recorded the details of Zami Morshaw's performance, and explained them to Wang Deshun one by one after returning.
Wang Deshun was very touched after listening to it, and was determined to create his own pantomime with his wife. But in Changchun at that time, pantomime was not so popular, and even the leaders in the courtyard did not support them to perform pantomime. This made the couple difficult, not knowing where the road ahead was.

In 1985, Wang Deshun made a bold decision to take his family to Beijing to develop. But it was so easy to do, after all, he didn't even have a clue about his residence and work after going to Beijing.
But Wang Deshun is such a "crazy person", between hesitation, he chooses to use the way of tossing a coin to determine his future direction. The numbers go up, the bottom stays, and the twist of fate is in this instant.
After the coin fell, there was a numerical side in the face of Wang Deshun's family. This year, he was 49 years old, and he was about to know the age of destiny, but he had to give up the job that had been stable for most of his life and go to Beijing to start from scratch.
Everyone else thinks that he is tossing and turning, but only Wang Deshun himself knows that all this stems from his pursuit of art and his adherence to his dreams.
When he first arrived in Beijing, Wang Deshun's family could only borrow someone else's house to live temporarily, and the source of livelihood was only to earn a small income by performing pantomimes at major universities.
The embarrassment of life did not make Wang Deshun lose confidence, on the contrary, he infused this helplessness and bitterness into the work, giving the work the most real emotion. His "Prisoner" is about a man in a cage, trying his best to get rid of the shackles, but in the end it is in vain.
At that time, the Central Academy of Drama held an international Brecht system seminar, and Wang Deshun performed a mime "Man and Snake" on the spot, and his superb acting skills impressed the audience. It was from that moment that mime was born in his hands.
Just when Wang Deshun thought his life was about to take a turn for the better, one night in April 1986, he and his wife were invited out of the sojourner's house by relatives.
This is not the most unfortunate, in the case of no way, they can only turn to the Central Academy of Drama Guest House, hoping to borrow a night. But it backfired, and in the end, it was pushed out.
Walking from the Drama Academy Guest House to the road outside, this short distance of 100 meters, Wang Deshun feels as if he has walked for a century. He saw a blind man playing the huqin, next to his wife holding a bowl to collect money. In this situation, Wang Deshun did not forget to laugh at himself: "We are not far from them." ”
As a result, his wife did not show sadness, but comforted: "There is a day when you play a pantomime, and I will collect money for you on the side." "If you have a wife like this, why should your husband ask for it?"
Subsequently, his wife put a dime in the man's bowl, but the money in the bowl was all denominations of one cent, and a dime in it seemed very abrupt. In fact, this dime is not only a help to the man, but also a respect for his profession.
That night, Wang Deshun's family of four could only barely sleep in the underground passage, and the wind and rain outside, the Wang Deshun family in the underground passage was frozen and shivering.
As the so-called invincible road, they soon saw the dawn of hope. The next day, the Central Academy of Drama Guest House specially approved them to live here, which was a timely rain for Wang Deshun.
Even greater good things are yet to come, as Wang Deshun's pantomime performances have grown in influence, and in 1987 he was sent by the Ministry of Culture to Germany to participate in the International Pantomime Festival.
After a performance, there was applause on the spot, which was also the first time that Chinese mime drama had stepped onto the international stage. After this, Wang Deshun's pantomime performance can be said to have a bright future.
But over time, the problem gradually became apparent. After the 1990s, Wang Deshun, who was nearly 60 years old, felt more and more powerless when performing pantomime, and if he wanted to continue, he had to find alternative forms of performance.
Subsequently, Wang Deshun created a new performance form of "living sculpture", which is to express the emotions of the characters through various action postures. In 1993, when he went to visit the Rodin Art Exhibition in France, he realized that even static movements must have plots and changes.
But when it came to the real performance, Wang Deshun found that there was still a certain gap between his figure and the statue. In order to be exactly like the real statue on the stage, he ran to the gym every day in his 50s, once for a few hours, and insisted on it for 3 years. Finally, he has developed a muscle, and when he goes to perform the statue, it can be said to be so vivid that even the audience can't tell the real person and the statue.
Later, embassies in many countries asked Wang Deshun to perform "living sculptures". He did not disappoint everyone and gave one wonderful performance after another. After the end, the cultural counsellor at the Italian Embassy asked him: "I'm sitting in the first row, why can't I see you breathing?" ”
Wang Deshun put one of the counselor's hands on his stomach and the other on his back, and the counselor was surprised to find that he had been breathing on his back all along.
"I must not let my statue gasp on stage!" This is Wang Deshun's rigor in art, and it is also his respect for art.

After 2000, Wang Deshun began to shoot some film and television dramas, although most of them were supporting roles, but the characters he created were always full and vivid, often leaving a deep impression on the audience. This also benefits from his past drama skills, even though many years have passed, as long as he picks up the script again, he can still pass the lines again.
Originally thought that he was going to spend the rest of his life in such a bland way, but what Wang Deshun did not expect was that a catwalk in 2015 would make him famous overnight.
In March 2015, designer Hu Sheguang stumbled upon a photo on Wang Deshun's daughter Wang We's mobile phone. Wang Deshun in the photo is full of energy and is very spiritual.
Hu Sheguang couldn't help but sigh: "This old man is quite exemplary." Wang Wei immediately replied, "This is my father." The company felt that Wang Deshun was very suitable for the catwalk, so it invited him over.
Before the catwalk began, Hu Sheguang also suggested that Wang Deshun should walk as he wanted, without any concerns, and even proposed the idea of letting him walk the catwalk bare-chested.
Unexpectedly, it was such a small move that made Wang Deshun the focus of the night, and the atmosphere at the scene was ignited in an instant.
The 79-year-old Wang Deshun did not lose to the young man on the stage, on the contrary, he was in good shape, walking with a tiger and a tiger, from the eyes to the body movements, all revealed domineering and self-confidence.
Later, he talked about the catwalk in his speech and said bluntly: "My domineering spirit comes from self-confidence, and my self-confidence comes from the accumulation of success again and again."

He began exercising at the age of 50, thundering for 2 hours a day, without interruption for thirty years.
