In the film, Guan Songjiang, played by Ye Zuxin, is a graduate student who graduated from Tsinghua University. He came out of the countryside, but at the turning point in his life path, he resolutely chose to return to his hometown and lead the people to the road of getting rid of poverty and getting rich. As a southerner, in order to overcome dialect barriers and better interpret the image of this northeastern youth, Ye Zuxin had a long period of communication with directors and screenwriters, repeatedly speculating on the characteristics and positioning of the role. Chat with friends in the northeast, find the materials of the northeast film and television dramas and the text materials of the northeast culture to learn, and get closer to the character image of the young people of the northeast culture.

In order to vividly record the magnificent cause of "decisively winning the battle to overcome poverty and building a well-off society in an all-round way", Changying Group organized creators to go deep into the front line of economic and social development, draw creative inspiration from the great practice and fiery life of the people, and carefully collect vivid stories. Bao Shenghua, Together with Hao Tianxiao, Hu Ying, and Ma Ben, the four screenwriters, took their steps into the vast countryside of Jilin Province, visited and learned about a large number of representative figures and examples such as rural leaders who have persevered and paid for poverty alleviation, poverty alleviation cadres, college student village officials, and college students who have returned to their hometowns.

The film leads to a big theme with small incisions, integrating elements such as youth, inspiration, and suspense, telling the story of the protagonist Guan Songjiang returning to his hometown after graduating from Tsinghua University and intending to be the director of the county poverty alleviation office, but it has aroused many doubts from the outside world, and through the investigation of him during the publicity period, unveiling one lid after another that young cadres have been questioned, vividly showing the wonderful strokes of the young group of returned entrepreneurs represented by Guan Songjiang in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. It is reported that the film will be released in theaters nationwide on October 29.
