Gujiao City is located in a mountainous area and belongs to the key prevention and control areas of geological disasters. Some time ago, the ancient city suffered heavy rainfall that had not been encountered for many years, causing many geological disasters (dangerous situations), and the affected people were forced to relocate. Today, flood prevention and relief have come to an end, and the local government has turned to post-disaster recovery and reconstruction work. Have people displaced by the disaster returned to their homes? With questions, the reporter visited some affected communities in Gujiao City.

Aunt Zhao, who lives in the recreation community, greeted the neighbors while putting the damp quilt at home on the clothesline downstairs of the community to dry. The building where Aunt Zhao lives, close to the side of the mountain, the heavy rainfall some time ago, so that the danger here is continuous, so far near the wall on the east side of the community, there are still a large number of slippery stones that have not been cleaned up. Aunt Zhao saw this, still a little afraid, she said, thanks to the community staff overnight to organize the evacuation of people in the building, in case the landslide hits the building, the consequences are unimaginable, "Now the people in our building have basically returned." This time it was lucky, there was no danger. ”
Ms. Wang, who lives near the Thousand Buddhas Temple, has a slightly more sad look in the past few days, because, under the leadership of the Yixue Road community staff, geological disaster prevention experts came to her home to conduct a house damage survey and assess the damage to the house. Affected by the heavy rainfall some time ago, a landslide occurred on the slope not far from her home, bringing safety hazards to her house. She said that now that the survey of her home has been completed, it will wait for the report, it is reinforcement, it is relocation, and there will be results soon.
Yang Xiaolong, director of Yixue Road Community, introduced that The Yixue Road community is one of the main prevention and control areas for geological disasters, at present, the damaged sites in the jurisdiction are near the Thousand Buddha Temple, No. 42 Courtyard of Yixue Road, No. 68 Courtyard and other places, and relevant experts have been contacted to prepare for geological exploration and assessment.
At present, Gujiao City has taken a variety of measures to prevent and control geological disasters caused by rainfall. According to the Introduction to the Natural Resources Bureau of Gujiao City, at present, the city has once again carried out the investigation of hidden dangers of geological disasters, and carried out inspection and monitoring to prevent the avoidance personnel from returning to the residence without authorization, taking emergency landfill for the dangerous situations of geological disasters that occur, diverting drainage, and preventing rainwater from infiltrating into the slope and causing another collapse or landslide. In addition, provincial-level geological disaster prevention and control experts are also hired to conduct on-site investigation guidance and deal with them in a timely manner.
At the same time, Gujiao City also held a special meeting to arrange and deploy the post-disaster recovery and reconstruction work. It is pointed out that all levels and departments should do a good job in ensuring the people's livelihood after the disaster, prevent poverty caused by disasters and return to poverty due to disasters; concentrate efforts on repairing and rebuilding damaged houses to ensure that every household affected by the disaster has safe housing; make good use of subsidies from higher levels and funds at the same level to actively help the disaster-stricken people tide over difficulties; and do a good job in health and epidemic prevention work to ensure the people's physical health and life safety.
