At about 2 p.m. on May 18, Xiao Zhang (pseudonym), a female student in Building 10 of Nanyuan, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, told Jimu News reporter that at noon on the 17th, a first-year girl in the building where she was located fell to her death, wearing a blue dress. Xiao Zhang heard that the girl was suspected of stealing the takeaway of other students many times, and at noon on the 17th, after a student went to the dormitory of the girl in blue and was suspected of being arrested, he asked her to write an apology letter, otherwise tell the school. Shortly after the student left, the girl in blue fell from the building.

On the 18th, the official website of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies released a briefing saying that at about 12:58 noon on May 17, a student of the school fell from 10 buildings in Nanyuan, South Campus.
