She was Shen Anna, who was directly led by the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and was known as "the person who held Chiang Kai-shek's pulse".
From the age of 20 to the founding of New China, Shen Anna lurked in the core department of the Kuomintang for 14 years. During this time, she was The Stenographer of Chiang Kai-shek's most trusted major meetings. Shen Anna used this special status to continuously transport confidential information from the enemy camp to Yan'an.

On March 14, 1915, Shen Anna was born in a family of scholars in Taixing County, Jiangsu Province. At a young age, Shen Anna not only wrote well, but also had a good memory, and this innate talent for learning also laid an important foundation for her future "shorthand career".
Shen Anna's father, Shen Jihang, was a former Qing Xiucai. Although Shen Anna was born in a turbulent era and received a modern education, the life route her father circled for her still did not get rid of the limitations of everyone's bridesmaids and good wives and mothers.
In 1932, his father designated a marriage for his second sister, Shen Yina, which became the fuse of the sisters' rebellious family.
In order to support the second sister Shen Yina's rebellion against the feudal arranged marriage, the two stubborn sisters ran away from home and came to Shanghai, entering Shanghai Wuben Middle School and Nanyang Commercial Senior High School respectively. Now that he had enrolled in school, his father had no choice.
The homeland was in turmoil, and the Shen family was gradually declining. In the Spring Festival of 1934, the two sisters did not have the money to buy a ticket home, so they went to the home of their teacher Mao Xiaocen to visit the New Year. Coincidentally, the two sisters accidentally met Shu Yuexin, an underground party member under the leadership of Wang Xuewen of the Central Special Branch, and Hua Mingzhi, a progressive young man, at the teacher's house.
At that time, they did not know that the two men in front of them would become their loyal revolutionary comrades-in-arms and eternal life partners in the future. Under the guidance of Shu Yuexin and Hua Mingzhi, the Shen sisters were increasingly exposed to progressive ideas and books, and began to yearn for the revolutionary cause.
In the autumn of 1934, Shen Anna, who had just finished her second year of high school, had no money to pay tuition, so she had to retreat to the second place, choosing the Shanghai Bingxun Shorthand School with lower fees and shorter semesters.
There are heart-planted flowers that do not bloom, and there is no heart to plant willows. In the shorthand school, Shen Anna's extraordinary memory endowment was fully exerted. It didn't take long for Shen Anna, who was immersed in learning, to break the school record with a record speed of 200 words per minute. Her own calligraphy skills are profound, coupled with Shen Anna's personal hard work, opportunities seem to be particularly concerned about her.
In January 1935, the Kuomintang Zhejiang Provincial Government recruited stenographers, and Shen Anna, who had outstanding performance during her internship, was recommended by the school to apply.

Shu Yuexin conveyed Wang Xuewen's instructions to Shen Anna and told her the importance of intelligence work and the dedication she should have. Intelligence work is not an easy task, once exposed may lose life, but Shen Anna said firmly:
"As long as I join the revolution, I will go!" In the past, there was no way to serve the country but no door to the country. Today the newspaper has a door! I want revolution, I am not afraid of death! ”
If the world lives and dies, it is better to avoid it because of misfortune and happiness. Under the arrangement of the organization, Shen Anna, who was only 20 years old, came to Hangzhou and became a stenographer in the deliberation section of the Secretariat of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, starting a 14-year career as a red spy.
In the past, there were no tape recorders, let alone recorders, and all meeting minutes relied on paper and pencil. With a recording speed of 200 words per minute and a good hand, Shen Anna quickly gained a foothold, she was astute and skillful, and gradually became a favorite darling.
Since entering the Zhejiang Provincial Government, Shen Anna has often taken notes at important high-level meetings, and she has the opportunity to contact high-level confidential documents, and she is secretly happy in her heart: Is it not a good thing to find an opportunity to hand over some important information to the organization?
Soon, the second sister Shen Yina wrote a letter asking Shen Anna to return to Shanghai to help organize her marriage with Shu Yuexin. The opportunity has finally come. In 1935, with the approval of "uncle" Wang Xuewen and the party organization, Hua Mingzhi and Shen Anna held a simple wedding in Shanghai.
Soon, under the arrangement of the organization, Hua Mingzhi came to Hangzhou to guide and assist Shen Anna's intelligence work nearby, and the husband and wife fought together. Zhou Enlai also gave a serious command: "Your work is extremely dangerous, and you must do everything possible to protect yourself and deal with the enemy in every possible way." In case of sudden change, in addition to having backbone, Communists must also have superb adaptability. ”
A word gave Shen Anna an unforgettable lesson of a lifetime. From then on, Shen Anna made up her mind that even if she stuck to the hidden front all her life, she would never waver.
With a record speed of 200 words per minute and a good hand, Shen Anna became the best candidate for Chiang Kai-shek to preside over major meetings as a recorder. The top-secret information she obtained from within the Kuomintang was also continuously sent to the desks of Zhou Enlai and the leaders of the Southern Bureau. Knowing the internal movements of the Kuomintang, the Yan'an side was always able to carry out tit-for-tat struggles.

Moreover, she has always paid attention to establishing good relations with the Kuomintang elders, often "asking them for ink treasures", and hanging the calligraphy of Yu Youren, Wu Zhihui and others in the most conspicuous place at home. Others thought that she had a good relationship with the Elders, and her superiors trusted her.
On January 6, 1941, the "Anhui Southern Incident" shocked China and foreign countries, more than 6,000 people of the New Fourth Army were killed, and the commander Ye Ting was captured. Zhou Enlai sadly and indignantly wrote an inscription in Xinhua Daily: "Mourn for the victims of the country in Jiangnan!" And inscription poem: Thousands of ancient strange injustices, Jiangnan one leaf; the same room Ge, frying what a hurry! ”
At the meeting of Chiang Kai-shek and many generals to celebrate their achievements, Shen Anna, who was in charge of shorthand, wanted to cry without tears, forced herself to be calm, and her teeth bit her lower lip.

In 1949, Nanjing was liberated. Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi entered the NSA, from "underground" to "aboveground". There is still light in their hearts, and there is no longer darkness around them.
