The poem struck Sam Dove's heartstrings deeply, bringing her to tears, and she eventually adopted Bucky.
According to Sam, Bucky's original name was Harry, and in February this year, because the former owner could not continue to raise it, he sent it to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The poem that moved her was forwarded to her by her daughter, who also sent some information about Bucky. "My daughter has always been concerned about rescuing small animal adoptions, having just adopted a 12-year-old cat in July. I was very touched when I read this poem, and I could feel the sadness and heartache that Bucky felt when other cats were adopted and taken away. "Because my husband is allergic to cat hair, we haven't had a cat."
