Xiamen Net-Xiamen Evening News (Reporter Lin Xiaoyun) Starting today for three consecutive nights, the special commemorative edition of the 20th anniversary of Ireland's "Dance of the Great River" will be staged at the Minnan Grand Theatre. Combining Irish dance, music and opera, this Broadway musical cabaret with power, texture and beauty has been hailed as the world's first tap dance drama.

In 1995, "The Dance of the Great River" premiered at the Rush Theatre in Dublin with great success. The play is based on the tap dance of traditional Irish national characteristics, blending the passionate Spanish flamenco dance, and drawing on the essence of classical ballet and modern dance, together to create an imposing and colorful dance. The performance of the Irish Orchestra and the natural bel canto of the choir played a role in the finishing touch.

To date, River Dance has been performed more than 14,000 times worldwide, and more than 2,000 dancers have joined the troupe. The 20th Anniversary Special Edition is infused with many new elements. The stage uses high-definition projection, and this time it will use an LED color screen for the first time, and more dazzling and beautiful pictures will be presented on the stage. In addition, melodies such as "Kangding Love Song" familiar to Chinese audiences and the theme song of the movie "Shangganling" "My Motherland" were also added.
