This "Four Kinds of Controversy" was written by the Ming Dynasty literary scholar Deng Zhimo (who called himself Bai Humble Sheng). The full set contains: flowers and birds, children and gentles, wind and moon, vegetables and fruits, and the book also contains about thirty-one prints and illustrations, and this time I share thirty-one of them. This engraving is an engraving of the Chunyutang during the Ming Dynasty.
There are four books, and each episode is divided into three volumes: the first, the middle, and the lower. The first volume is each a creation of about 10,000 words, most of which are untitled, all using anthropomorphic techniques, telling the two sides to win and argue with each other, lips and arrows, you come and go, and miscellaneous words, quite a lot of humor, reading is hilarious. The basic pattern of its story occurrence and development is: the two sides have a war of words due to the struggle for status, and the main general and vice general are the first to come out, self-proclaimed, attack each other, it is difficult to distinguish between them, and there is a temporary truce. However, they were all indignant, so they each revised the book and asked a third party to judge. After the third party takes over, the two sides of the school will first come up with questions, and then the judgment will be mediated, and the two parties will return to the dispute. In addition to the arguments and ridicules between the two sides, the whole novel has almost no other plot, and these game works, especially the use of argumentative forms and dialogue to form the main body of the novel, are actually the original creation of Deng Zhimo. The middle and second volumes are selected poems of famous artists on relevant topics, with their own works attached. These works are interspersed with poetry, mythology, and folklore materials, and many of them are famous poetry and songs related to these controversial contents.
