A few days ago, in the face of a slight drizzle, the staff of the Qingshan Lake Management Bureau and the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau planted a batch of small saplings on the shore of Qingshan Lake. Looking at the "not amazing looking" small saplings is actually very precious. It is understood that the seedlings planted this time include a number of key protected wild plants in Zhejiang Province, such as magnolia leaf heather, fine fruit scale hammer tree, summer wax plum and so on.
Magnolia leaf heather rose family, heather genus, only distributed in Lin'an Qingshan Lake, the current wild population only 23 bushes, because of its extremely narrow distribution area, and rare number, is listed as a key protected wild plant in Zhejiang Province. Fine fruit scale hammer tree benzoin family, scale hammer tree genus, also known as small fruit scale hammer tree, Zhejiang Province key protected wild plants, Zhejiang Province very small population. Summer wax plum genus, alias yellow plum, wax wood, large-leaf purple, peony wood, summer plum, national second-class protected plants.
The rare and endangered plant seedlings settled in Qingshan Lake this time are based on the establishment of sowing, cuttings and tissue cultivation and rapid propagation and field return technology, to achieve the conservation and wild return of rare and endangered plants such as magnolia leaf heather, protect and expand the number of wild populations in the distribution area, and maintain biodiversity.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Qingshan Lake Management Bureau, next, the staff will carry out daily scientific research and monitoring of the planted seedlings, record the growth habits, breeding methods, etc., and lay the foundation for expanding the wild population.
