The 800-kilogram Arctic walrus, Wally, is 4 years old and has been "wandering" before. Walruses are semi-aquatic creatures that can sleep on ice floes for more than 20 hours at a time. So experts speculate that Wally may have been resting on the ice floes when he happened to melt the glacier and began his "wandering journey".

Then in the months that followed, Wally was spotted across Europe. Wally was first discovered on March 14 of this year, when a father and daughter were walking on an island in Ireland when a five-year-old girl found Wally resting on a rock by the sea. On March 26, in the coastal town of Tunby in Wales, local residents spotted Wally. Wally may have been tired of swimming and wanted to climb to the boat to take a break (as on a glacier), but because of the weight, he overturned a boat. Because he stayed in Wales for a long time, he became the local "star", and the brewery in the area also took the opportunity to launch the "Wally Beer".

Later, when Wally went to the Isles of Scilly in England, people also made a pontoon for it to protect it from swimming.

On August 10, a winery in Ireland sent a message saying that an "Arctic tourist" had appeared on his ship, and Wally became more and more famous.

It is reported that when Wally went to Ireland, it had already swum 4,000 kilometers, and now in Iceland, it has swum at least 900 kilometers. Wally's two front flippers had scars in front of them, and it was because of this scar that a group that protected walruses confirmed that the walrus that appears in Iceland today is Wally.

The organization's staff said: "I was already not hopeful about seeing Wally again, but it showed up! This makes me very happy. Wally should be in good shape back to the North Pole. ”
