"May Day" long holiday, the surrounding tour is very hot. Some people take the high-speed train to Qiqihar in order to eat the fragrant BBQ; others drive out early and return late to go there to capture the shadows of the birds.

Taking advantage of the May Day holiday, Teacher Wang Huai of the College of Wildlife Resources of Northeast Forestry University and several ice city bird friends rushed to Qiqihar to photograph the black-winged sandpiper with long legs and big eyes, the anti-billed sandpiper with a "crooked" mouth and the cute sandpiper.
However, Teacher Wang Huai said that at present, in the ice city, there are also many beautiful birds such as red-billed gulls, cresteds, black water chickens and wild ducks in the wetlands around the Grand Theater, the Bund of Qunli, hejiagou and other places.
In addition to the previous one, Teacher Wang introduced two more to everyone, so as not to see that they could not be named when the time came:
Crested
The crested (pì tī) is now in the courtship period. The two are inseparable, and often make gestures such as nodding at each other, shaking their heads, bumping their chests, and sometimes pulling rotten grass out of the water (like humans sending roses) to show love.
Cresteds stay in Ice City until around mid-to-late October. After August, you can see two crested babes swimming on the surface of the water with a few cubs, and they will catch fish and feed the birds.
black-headed gull
Red-billed gulls pass through the ice city for a few days each year during this season. It then either continues north or spreads out to nest and breed around. By mid-to-late October, they flew back to Ice City and integrated into large groups to move south together.
At the moment, large flocks of red-billed gulls gather, frolicking in the air and grabbing food at the water's edge, which is also very ornamental.
furthermore
There will also be some forest birds
Forest birds such as the red-winged blue-tailed owls (qú) and the white wagtail (jí líng) have also flown back one after another, and are widely distributed, mostly in places with lawns and shrublands.
Wang Huai said that when citizens watch birds and enjoy birds, they should not disturb the birds and let them engage in their own activities relatively quietly.
