Who first discovered the "theory of evolution"? The most beautiful bird nests, those extinct birds...
With kind and beautiful words and fresh illustrations, this series of books will show you the exquisite birds, insects, etc. and memories of them in large museums:
Excerpts from the series
White-tailed sea eagle
This bird is similar in weight to ordinary sea eagles, and is about the same size as a male turkey. In appearance, the white-tailed sea eagle has no crown, a short neck, a strong chest, a stout back, and long and broad wings. A cow character with a slightly blue beak. The upper beak is curved to cover the lower beak and is about 1 inch long.
Chinese peacock pheasant
This bird is larger than the common pheasant, and although it is called a pheasant, I don't think it belongs to the pheasant family, because its tail feathers are flat, not pointed, and not curved. Although the color is not bright, the peacock pheasant is still a beautiful bird in nature.
Bird of Paradise
The bird of paradise has red rib feathers; yellow back; black thorax; and green throat with no yellow neck collar. Here are the records of other explorers: "The Bird of Paradise has the characteristics of a Bird of Paradise, with young birds similar to females, but with a green throat. The feathers on their sides are distinctive, with a short front and a long rear, bright red. Its thorax feathers have a faint purple color, and the green feathers on the throat are soft and divided into two pieces, separated from the chin. Their moulting stages vary from bird to bird, with some starting at the chest and some starting with the tail feathers. ”
Papiliopanthous
The wing edges are toothed; the forewings are black with white spots; the main body of the hindwings is white with dark spots. The butterfly in the picture is staying on the two-color Japanese moon season. Mainly from the island of Ampona, it is extremely rare.
Eagle moth, bee deer moth
The insect No. 1 in the figure may be Deilephila nechus (no Chinese translation of the name, tentatively translated as the eagle moth). The wing surface is intact, the forewings are green with mesohumic markings, the hindwings are black, there are spots at the base, and there is nearly 1 row of spots on the edge of the wing surface. The wingspan is 3.5 inches (about 8.9 cm).
The insect No. 2 in the picture is Graucopis polymena (no Chinese translation, tentatively translated as bee deer moth), the wing surface is black, with dark yellow markings, each piece of forewing has 3 markings, each hindwing has 2 markings, and the abdomen has 2 dark red transverse bands. The wingspan is close to 2 inches (about 5.1 cm).
