This book applies the relatively mature theories, tools and methods in the field of ecological efficiency research to the sustainable development of tourism, selects and uses the ecological efficiency measurement model with tourism carbon emissions as the unintended output, scientifically estimates the resource and environmental costs associated with the economic growth of the tourism industry, and better realizes the objective evaluation of the quality of tourism economic growth at the national, regional and provincial levels in China. This book has strong theoretical contributions and practical significance for the improvement of the sustainable development level of China's tourism industry.
About the Author
Qiao Xuezhong, a native of Zibo, Shandong. Lecturer of School of History, Culture and Tourism, Jiangxi Normal University, Doctor of Economics, graduated from School of Economics, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, majoring in Population, Resources and Environmental Economics. His main research directions are tourism economy and environment, tourism planning and development, paying special attention to the impact of regional tourism development on resources and environment, committed to exploring the coordinated development of regional tourism economy and ecological environment, and hoping to serve regional tourism development and scenic spot management with what he has learned.
