From October 20 to 22, 2021, sponsored by the Fujian Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, Sanming College, a training base for civil servants in Fujian Province, and the Shaxian District Culture and Tourism Bureau, the 2021 Fujian Provincial Cultural Relics Building Revitalization and Utilization Management Training Course was held in Shaxian District, Sanming City, which is an important measure for the Fujian Provincial Cultural Relics Protection System to further implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions during his inspection in Fujian, and to help fujian cultural relics buildings to protect, inherit and revitalize.

The opening ceremony was presided over by He Jingping, director of the Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology Department of the Fujian Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, and Comrade Xie Ping, deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, emphasized to the trainees the background, purpose, significance, and main course arrangements of the training course on the management of the protection, inheritance and revitalization of cultural relics buildings. He hoped that the trainees would cherish the learning opportunities, seriously understand the knowledge, think more, think more, communicate more, and apply the knowledge they learned well to their work. On behalf of the Fujian Provincial Civil Servants Training Base, Vice President Lin Jianwei of Sanming College hoped to take the opportunity of holding this training course to work with competent units, local governments, experts and scholars to jointly contribute wisdom and strength to promoting the opening up of cultural relics buildings at all levels in the province and promoting the rational use of cultural relics. On behalf of the Shaxian District People's Government, Zhang Mei'e, deputy mayor of Shaxian District, welcomed all the trainees, introduced the history of Shaxian County and the current situation of urban construction in her speech, and briefly described the achievements made by Shaxian District in the protection and utilization of cultural relics in recent years. Su Shibin, deputy director of the Sanming Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, attended the opening ceremony.

The training course lasted for 3 days, and invited cultural protection experts from the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, scholars from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, senior experts in the protection, inheritance and revitalization of cultural relics in the province, and typical representatives of the revitalization and utilization of grass-roots cultural relics to conduct discussions and on-site teaching from many aspects such as policy study, theoretical exploration, practical operation, and experience sharing, aiming to enhance the ability of cultural relics workers in the province to revitalize and manage cultural relics buildings. A total of 165 cultural relics protection workers from all over the province, including leaders and business backbones of cultural relics departments, backbones of cultural relics protection business in various counties (districts and cities), and responsible persons of management institutions of some key cultural protection units, participated in the training.
