Dai Chunrong: An expert in manipulating cranes

Source: Zhonggong Network

At noon one day in Shengsha in 1991, a station of the second phase of the Daqin Railway project. On the main line of the railway station, which has just been laid with steel rails, there is a special construction car with neatly arranged cement poles and some electrified catenary accessories, and a flatbed truck in the middle of the train is placed with an internal combustion crane. I saw a man with black hair and gray hair who was busy with something. As soon as he entered the cab, he would screw something with a board, and the three- or four-meter-high car he would walk up and down lightly. Knowledgeable people can conclude by looking at this skillful movement and technique: "This is an expert with high skill and special skills in manipulating cranes." ”

Dai Chunrong: An expert in manipulating cranes

He is Dai Chunrong, a three-stage crane driver at the China Railway Electrification Bureau.

Everyone else was resting, why did Master Dai have to be busy in this big hurry? It turned out that when the train was installed in the morning to erect poles in the section, Dai Chunrong occasionally heard a faint strange sound in the crane. This small murmur mixed with the rumbling mechanical roar could not be heard by pedestrians at all, that is, it was difficult for insiders to judge if their minds were not highly concentrated. Dai Chunrong, with his many years of driving experience, determined that there was something wrong with the fuselage. Although this problem will not affect the pole operation for the time being, it will affect the service life of the crane over time. If you do not find out the problems in time, find out the hidden dangers, let the crane "carry the disease construction", maybe at some point it will cause an accident.

Thinking of this, he was secretly determined to ensure safe construction without waiting for hidden dangers.

Therefore, Dai Chunrong braved the unbearable heat and took advantage of the fact that others were resting. It took more than an hour of effort to finally find the "lesion", properly handled it, and eradicated the hidden danger.

Some people say that Lao Dai's car is "all-weather", no matter at any time, it can be driven to any section according to the needs of the project. No matter how difficult the construction conditions are, no matter how big the climate change, where the pole pit of the workshop is dug, his crane will drive to wherever the pole can be safely erected. For more than thirty years, Dai Chunrong drove his car to follow the electrification construction team to the south and the north, and tens of thousands of bridge pillars of various types of poles and towers were erected, and there was never a single accident.

Some people mistakenly think that the car driven by Lao Dai has good performance and higher quality than the average car. In fact, the crane he uses is an old domestic internal combustion car. "Let's use the old one first, although the car is a little old, but its 'temperament' I am familiar with, so in case of a little problem in it, I can adjust it properly." Every time the unit wanted to change him to a new car, he refused.

Dai Chunrong can't smoke, can't drink, and doesn't "upgrade" the game, he puts his mind and all his energy into his crane. When Lao Dai drives the crane pole, the electric pole weighing more than ten meters high will swing left and right, up and down according to the requirements of the owner. Sometimes when one foot is stepped on, the pole will stop at the designated position according to the owner's request.

As a driver in electrification construction, it is not only necessary to be skilled and have a strong sense of responsibility, but also to have the courage to overcome difficulties and overcome difficulties.

Dai Chunrong used his free time to delve into the business, discussed with his peers the overall new process of the pole, organized young workers to learn technology, and received gratifying results. Master Dai said: "Life on the train is very hard, but thinking of the electrified railways built behind us, these modern railways have made great contributions to alleviating the tension of national railway transportation, and every time I think of it, I add infinite joy and strength." ”

This is Dai Chunrong's heartfelt words, and it is also a big truth. It was driven by this belief that Dai Chunrong worked the installation of the train for thirty spring and autumn.

Dai Chunrong: An expert in manipulating cranes

He clearly remembers that it was the winter of 1988 fighting on the construction site of the first phase of the Daqin Railway.

In the cold winter moon, Dai Chunrong lay on the bed listening to the north wind of the call horn and couldn't sleep, he wanted to be so cold on such a cold day in case the engine of the crane "froze to death", the next day it was not good to light the fire and affect the pole, what could he do? He quietly got up, braving the cold of minus 30 degrees, got up two or three times a night to heat the car, slowly climbed down from the camper in the dark snowy night, and came to the crane to climb carefully.

When summer arrives, the whole crane is like a big stove in the hot sun. In the early afternoon, some parts of the crane are particularly hot, and if you are not careful, your bare arms will be burned when they touch the exposed iron.

Because the installation of the train is for the construction of the whole line, they are almost all greeted by a "wheel war". The work class always dug a lot of pits and gathered some work together before coming to ask Amle to make a surprise attack. For crane drivers, raids are carried out almost every day, and these raids sometimes run from morning until late at night. Despite this, Dai Chunrong and his partners have always maintained high motivation. In 1991, he created a good result of 112 Hitachi poles on the construction site of the second phase of Daqin, which won the highest record in the same industry in the country.

The car maintenance section saw that Dai Chunrong was more than 50 years old, and he was still running at the construction site for many years, afraid that his body would not be able to eat, so he planned to transfer to the section to do some work within his ability. But Lao Dai said that he did not agree with anything.

For more than 40 years, Dai Chunrong has erected electric poles for thousands of kilometers of electrified railways, and if these poles are stacked up, they will pile up into mountains, making valuable contributions to the construction and development of China's electrified railways, and he was awarded the title of model worker of the Ministry of Railways in 1994.
