Soundtrack Your Brand, the world's fastest-growing B2B music streaming service, recently announced that it has renewed its global license agreement with Warner Music.

This is the second time that Soundtrack Your Brand has been licensed by a major record label since the signing of a global licensing agreement with Universal Music Group in August (excluding China).

Soundtrack provides licensing for commercial streaming for businesses, choosing music for businesses based on genre, sound, and business type. While obtaining more copyrighted music libraries, the platform has also launched an on-demand streaming service called Soundtrack Unlimited to help enterprise users better select and control the content of music playback.

The new Soundtrack Unlimited on-demand service will enable businesses to pick individual songs from their library for playback, as well as skip and replay tracks, and create their own playlists or pour lists from Spotify.

These services were previously only available to C-end users, and the newly launched Soundtrack Unlimited retails for $40-50 per month in the global marketplace.

Nielsen conducted a research survey commissioned by Soundtrack in 2019 and found that copyright owners lost about $2.65 billion worldwide due to businesses using streaming services without proper permission. With about 70 million business users worldwide, the opportunities for this market are enormous.

Warner Music Group licensed the library to Soundtrack for the first time two years ago. At that time, the platform's services had covered 74 music markets around the world, and Warner's musicians' works were played billions of times in more than 60,000 venues around the world.

The service enables musicians' works to reach more than 5 billion customers from around the world by playing them in public places such as Lululemon, McDonald's and W Hotels. At the same time, Soundtrack's feedback data to Warner also allows music companies to clearly see when and where their musicians' works are played.

Ola Sars, founder and CEO of Soundtrack Your Brand, said: "Soundtrack is committed to increasing the value of overall music streaming by fixing the broken and outdated background music market. We will be at the forefront of this change, working with Warner to drive innovation and create value for music creators." ”

Soundtrack has priced B2B's on-demand streaming services by 5 to 10 times, resulting in a significant increase in royalty revenue for labels and musicians. "It is our collective responsibility for the entire industry to work together to ensure compliance in the B2B music market and to help creators who make a living from art to generate more revenue," he said. ”

John Rees, senior vice president of global business development at Warner Music Group, added: "Soundtrack Your Brand has created a best-in-class streaming service designed to provide music and data insights to businesses around the world. Warner will continue to support them in this exciting new chapter so that we can ensure that fair value in the commercial world is returned to artists and creators." ”

With the launch of a new B-side streaming on-demand service, global businesses can now access Warner Music Group's vast catalog of music in new ways.
