The story of the Traviata

In 1943 Robert Merrill came to a club in a New York nightclub, a club named Martinnick in a small street.

The salary was one hundred and fifty yuan a week, which was a lot for Robert, who was new to society. It was Robert's first audition, and he was ecstatic. The boss liked Robert's voice and wanted to hire him immediately, but the director of the show had another candidate.
