Shanxi Bird Atlas

Great reed warbler (scientific name: Acrocephalus arundinaceus): A small bird with similar plumage in both sexes. The eyebrows are pale brownish yellow ; the eyes are brown ; the wings are brown with pale brown edges ; and the tail feathers are also brown , but slightly lighter than the brown of the wing feathers. The top is brown , the upperparts are yellowish brown , the ventral surface is pale brownish yellow , the sides are darker , and the center of the abdomen turns milky white. Iris brown; upper mouth black brown, lower mouth pale, first end black brown; feet light lead blue. The beak is thin, like most insectivores.
