At about 7 o'clock on October 23, 2021, Ni Baojun, a police officer of the 109 National Highway East Front Brigade of the Traffic Management Detachment of the Ordos City Public Security Bureau, suddenly fell ill during the mission due to long-term overload work, and the treatment was ineffective, and unfortunately died at the age of 54.
Ni Baojun, male, Han ethnicity, Dalat Bannerman, Ordos City, born in January 1967, a member of the Communist Party of China, participated in the public security traffic management work in January 1989, and worked in the law enforcement and case handling squadron of the traffic management brigade on the eastern line of National Highway 109 before his death.

On October 25, 2021, a memorial service for Comrade Ni Baojun, a police officer who died in the line of duty, was held at the funeral home of Shenshan Cemetery in Dongsheng District, Ordos City. At 4 p.m., the farewell ceremony for the remains of Comrade Ni Baojun began, and all the personnel present with an extremely sad mood stood in silence in front of the spiritual hall to mourn in deep mourning for Comrade Ni Baojun, a comrade-in-arms who died in the line of duty on the Ordos public security traffic management front.
After Comrade Ni Baojun died in the line of duty, the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, the Public Security Department of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Traffic Management Bureau of the Autonomous Region Public Security Department, and the Political and Legal Committee of the Ordos Municipal CPC Committee sent telegrams of condolences to express their condolences. Comrade Ni Baojun has been in the police for 32 years, fighting in the front line of public security traffic management for a long time, faithfully performing his duties, loving his post and dedicating himself to his work, being diligent and conscientious, working hard and dedicated, doing a solid job in all work with a strong sense of dedication and a high sense of responsibility, scrupulously fulfilling his duties, and fighting until the last moment of his life. He took the initiative in his post, fulfilled his duties, worked tirelessly, had no complaints, no regrets, and took overtime, 24-hour duty preparation, road inspection, and service to the masses as the normal work, and gradually grew from a recruit to an expert and law enforcement pacesetter.
