If fate puts you alive, how will you choose to spend the rest of your time? Parting is always sad, and even if there are many worries in life, in the end it is still a different side. "The Most Beautiful Parting in the World" is a Korean emotional film based on Lu Hee-kyung's novel of the same name, which tells the story of an ordinary mother who bids farewell to her family in her own way in the last days of her life. Friends with low tear points must bring their own tissues, because the whole movie is touching and tearful.
The story begins with an introduction to her daily life and relationships. In middle age, she has a pair of very unconscious children, the daughter has a decent job but is entangled with a husband with a wife; the son with poor hearing prepares to go to college and talks to a little girlfriend; her doctor husband is emotionally cold, but he faces the helplessness of unemployment; the hostess often has to help her brother who is not doing his job and take care of an elderly demented mother-in-law who scolds her at will and often breaks into trouble. If the story goes on like this, this is the trivial routine of ordinary families; every relative in the family is busy with their own affairs, the thin alienation between the family, and the whole family's natural contribution to the woman's labor. But this is only the beginning of the story; when the woman tells her husband, who is a doctor, that she is unwell and wants to go to the hospital where she works, the husband thinks it is a trivial matter and tells her not to go. Eventually, the woman went for a test and found a tumor. The moment her husband learned of the diagnosis, he truly realized that he had never cared about her. When he squatted down in the hospital and cried desperately, the helpless look was really heart-wrenching.
The husband who is a doctor, from being powerless to be sad and drunk to accepting the fact that he is dedicated to building a house for a woman. The daughter finally ends this wrong relationship and works with her father to realize a small wish of her mother. The son eventually told his mother about himself and his little girlfriend, and after the three of them met, it was a beautiful misunderstanding that the little girlfriend was pregnant; and it became an honor to have been pushing away from teaching his mother to learn computers. The younger brother finally understood his sister's good intentions for him and began to quit gambling and work seriously. In the last days, the family members around them also accepted the reality that women were going to leave, and everything began to develop in a good direction. Unfortunately, the woman's health has become worse and worse, and in order to seek comfort, she finally fainted in pain by holding the clothes of her deceased mother. Loving her mother-in-law, but afraid that her mother-in-law would drag down her family after her death, the woman desperately tried to kill her. When the movie sees this, I've been in tears many times.
At the end of the film, the woman has passed away, and although the death of the disease is a beautiful relief for her, in fact, living is the real beauty. She used her own concern and reluctance to reunite a warm family. This woman's ordinary and great life is like the last sentence: "Look closely and know the beauty, and it takes a long time to understand the cuteness." We never know which of tomorrow and the unexpected will come first, and don't lose it to know how to cherish it. Treat the relatives around you well and cherish the happiness in front of you.
