Liangshan, China, January 31 (Zhang Dongmei, Liu Meiyu) The sixth "Jumbo" rotor of the Baihetan Hydropower Station was successfully hoisted into place on the 31st, marking that unit 16 of the Baihetan Hydropower Station, which has the world's largest single-unit capacity, has entered the stage of final assembly. This is the first major construction node and major installation task completed by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Electromechanical Company in the baihetan hydropower station in the beginning of 2021.
At 10:00 a.m. on the same day, the rotor of Unit 16, which had a lifting weight of about 2,300 tons, a diameter of 16.5 meters and a height of 4.08 meters, was lifted about 5.5 meters off the ground by the combined force of two 1,300-ton axle machines, and after nearly 70 minutes of horizontal movement across the north and south ends of the right bank plant for more than 292 meters, it fell smoothly into the machine pit. The rotor of Unit 16 that was hoisted in place this time is the rotor of the sixth 1 million kilowatt unit hoisted in place by Baihetan Hydropower Station, and it is also the third "heart" installed for the "big country heavy equipment" within 141 days after Gezhouba Electromechanical Company completed the rotor hoisting of Units 14 and 15 on September 9 and November 28, 2020.
As the heaviest and largest core component of the generator set, the rotor is composed of a central body, a fan-shaped body support, a vertical rib, a magnetic yoke and a magnetic pole. When the unit is running, the rotor rotates to generate a rotating magnetic field, cutting the stator windings, thereby generating an induced potential and output electrical energy. In order to ensure the safe and smooth hoisting of the rotor of Unit 16, the construction personnel of China Energy Construction Gezhouba Mechanical and Electrical Company actively implemented the relevant preparatory work for rotor hoisting, conducted a joint inspection of the rotor before hoisting, and made careful deployment and detailed arrangements from various aspects such as organizational structure, safety protection measures, technical delivery, etc., so as to be meticulous, fine and foolproof, laying the foundation for the safety, stability and accuracy of the rotor hoisting.
The world's largest single-unit capacity and high quality requirements of the Baihetan Hydropower Station megawatt all-empty cold-water turbine generator set is a transcendent work of China Hydropower to climb to the world's hydropower "no man's land", its design, manufacturing and unit installation accuracy requirements are extremely high, representing the highest level of construction of the world's hydropower industry. Under the premise of learning from the installation experience of giant units such as the Three Gorges Power Station, China Energy Construction Gezhouba Mechanical and Electrical Company actively optimized the process and technological innovation, not only realized the rotor hoisting task of the three units in advance, but also created the world's fastest record for the installation of the stator of the million kilowatt unit (No. 15) for 58 days; the completed processes have reached the quality standards of the boutique units, of which the water conductivity swing of unit 14 is 0.0158mm; the rotor magnetic pole roundness of the No. 15 machine is 0.35 mm, The high-precision technical index of 0.27 mm of magnetic pole verticality has set a new record in the history of the industry.
It is reported that the Baihetan Hydropower Station is the world's largest hydropower station under construction, located in Ningnan County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and Qiaojia County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, with an even distribution of 8 1 million kilowatts of hydro-generator sets on both sides of the river, with a total installed capacity of 16 million kilowatts. Among them, the installation and commissioning of 8 sets of 8 (No. 9 to No. 16) million kilowatt units of the Right Bank Power Station were undertaken by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Mechanical and Electrical Company. It is expected that the first batch of units will be put into operation in July 2021, and all units of the power station will be put into operation in July 2022. (End)
