Chengdu, March 10 (Reporter Zhang Lang) reporter learned from China Energy Construction Gezhouba Mechanical and Electrical Company on the 10th that the last 850,000-kilowatt hydro-generator set of the Wudongde Left Bank Power Station undertaken by the company fell into the machine pit at 9:39 on the same day, and since then the rotor hoisting work of the 6 units of the Left Bank Power Station has been completed, and the countdown to fully put into operation for power generation has been started.
The rotor is one of the heaviest and most core components of the hydroelectric generator, which is mainly composed of the rotor central body, the rotor arm, the magnetic yoke and the magnetic pole, which plays a role in generating an alternating magnetic field in the unit. During the installation of the unit, wudongde electromechanical project department continued to improve the construction process and improve the construction efficiency, the first unit no. 6 rotor was hoisted on December 18, 2019, the entire assembly process took 355 days, and the no. 1 rotor from assembly to hoisting took only 169 days.
The rotor of Unit 1 has a maximum outer diameter of 17.5 meters, an overall height of 4 meters, and a total weight of 1910 tons. In order to ensure the smooth completion of the rotor hoisting work, the project department set up an on-site command group with the project manager as the general command, and carried out special safety technology to the on-site personnel before hoisting, and inspected the various parts of the rotor several times. It took 41 minutes to successfully complete the rotor hoisting of Unit 1.
Wudongde Hydropower Station is the world's seventh largest hydropower station, located in Luxun County, Yunnan Province and the junction of Sichuan Province, the total installed capacity of the power station is 10.2 million kilowatts, it is expected that the average annual power generation capacity will reach 38.91 billion kWh after fully commissioned power generation, which is of great significance for building a national green, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system, achieving the carbon peak target by 2030, and helping the coordinated development of the regional economy and the implementation of the western development strategy.
Since the first batch of units of Wudongde Hydropower Station was put into operation on June 29, 2020, the cumulative power generation capacity of the power station has reached 17.5 billion kWh, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 17 million tons. It is reported that Unit 1 will enter the waterless commissioning stage in early May, start charging water to start commissioning in early June, complete 72-hour trial operation at the end of June, officially hand over the power plant to commercial operation, and realize that all units will be put into operation before July 1.
