On 19 July, the seventh session of the 13th People's Congress of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture held its second plenary session.
The meeting shall be attended by 272 delegates, and the actual attendance of 247 delegates shall be in conformity with the quorum.
The meeting was presided over by Zheng Yi, secretary of the state party committee, executive chairman of the presidium of the conference, and executive chairman of the second plenary meeting.
Also serving as the executive chairmen of the conference were: Wang Jialing, Xu Jiafu, Liu Chao, Lei Yang, Li Ping, Li Yongyi, Zhao Yongjun, Zhang Yunhong, Zhang Wenhu, and Li Xiaorong.
The meeting voted to approve the names of the chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee, the Agricultural and Rural Committee, and the Social Construction Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, as well as the names of the directors and supervisors. By vote, Comrade Wang Lingsong was elected chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Comrade Zhang Jianrong was elected chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, and Comrade Xi Weiguo was elected chairman of the Social Construction Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture.
The meeting read out the names of the vice chairmen and members of the Standing Committee of the State People's Congress and the chairmen of the State Supervision Commission, and the election was conducted by secret ballot.
According to the results of the vote count reported by the director voter, Comrade Zhang Yunhong was elected vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture; Comrades Wang Lingsong, Li Yong, and Zhang Jianrong were elected as members of the Standing Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture; and Comrade Chen Jiaxing was elected chairman of the Supervision Commission of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture.
Zheng Yi presented certificates of election to the six comrades who were elected.
Subsequently, the members of the Presidium and the elected took a constitutional oath.
