Suicheng Village and "Frozen Suicheng"

Suicheng Village, Jieshan Town, Dongping County, is composed of four administrative villages: Shangsuicheng East, Shangsuicheng West, Xiasuicheng and Beisuicheng. Suicheng Village and "Frozen Suicheng"

Suicheng Village is named after the shang dynasty Suiguo. Suiguo was a small country in the early days of China, and according to relevant historical records, the city site was located in the area of Beisui City, Shangsui City and Lower Sui City. Today, in Suicheng, there are still many relics of Suiguo, such as the "Point General Platform" and "Chengzijing" of suiguo in the west of Suicheng. Ordinary people worked in the fields and picked up many bows and arrows used by soldiers in ancient times. To this day, there is still a story of "frozen Suicheng" in Suicheng.

Suicheng Village and "Frozen Suicheng"

In the Shang Dynasty, Suiguo was an early established country. After Shang Tang destroyed Xia, Yu Shun was enfeoffed with Yu Shun, and the Sui State was established. Because the monarch of Suiguo worked hard to govern the country and governed the country well, the suiguo was soon socially stable, and the people were well clothed and lived and worked in peace and contentment. In the early Spring and Autumn Period, the State of Qi had been eyeing it and taking the opportunity to destroy it. At that time, the State of Qi was a relatively powerful country, and in 684 BC, after the State of Qi destroyed the State of Tan in one fell swoop, it aimed its head at the State of Sui. The monarch of Suiguo sent emissaries several times to make peace, but to no avail. In 681 BC, the Song state was in civil strife, and Qi Henggong took the opportunity to control the Song state in the name of helping to quell the chaos. Therefore, the monarchs of the Lu, Song, Chen, Cai and other countries were summoned to a meeting, and the Suiguo was also among them, discussing the matter of sending troops to the Song kingdom. The monarch of Suiguo did not show up for the incident, which gave the state of Qi an excuse. Qi Henggong thought that this was disrespectful to himself, did not take the State of Qi in his eyes, and openly sent troops to attack suiguo. Of course, Suiguo was not its opponent, and after a few battles, the monarch was captured and suiguo destroyed.

After the destruction of Suiguo, the State of Qi sent troops to defend Suiguo as its own territory, where these officers and soldiers bullied men and women, spent days drinking wine, and acted recklessly, and the common people hated it to the bone. In particular, the original clan and family organizations, who were originally in power, are now reduced to prisoners of the order, and they are not willing to be ruled by the State of Qi, and they are always trying to restore the country. After careful conspiracy, in the name of comforting the Laoqi people, they selected a hundred beautiful women, drunk and killed all the Qi people who guarded the Sui country, and elected their own monarch, determined to fight with the Qi state to the end and not to be a slave to the country.

When Qi Guoqi heard the news and rebelled, Qi Huan was violent and thunderous, and immediately issued an order to attack Sui Guo. The newly appointed Sui guojun was a brave and resourceful man with both wisdom and wisdom, and he knew that the state of Qi must take revenge. Therefore, recruiting troops and horses, mobilizing the people of the whole country to prepare for war, and building high walls, preparing enough wood, digging horse pits in the places where the Qi people passed twenty miles away, digging a moat outside the city, and filling the moat with water, waiting for the arrival of the Qi people.

The State of Qi believes that he is the hegemon of the Spring and Autumn Period, and it is not enough to deal with a small country like Suiguo. They regarded the restoration of the country as a rebellion by a small thief, and they did not pay attention to it at all. Therefore, only a few thousand men and horses were sent. The army of the State of Qi was arbitrary, and in addition to the fact that there was no obstruction along the way, it mistakenly believed that suiguo was afraid and had become a treasure in the bag, so it relaxed its guard. Just as they were triumphant, nearly twenty miles from the city, they could only hear the sound of a bull's horn, and the qi people's front team fell into the earth pit, and the rear team was confused. Sui Guo's soldiers swung into battle, rushed up, caught and killed, and thousands of people and horses in the State of Qi became turtles in an urn.

The State of Qi swallowed this breath, and in the spring of the following year, Qi Henggong personally led more than 100,000 troops and marched into Suidi. After all, the Sui state was a weak and small country, and it could not compete with the state of Qi at all. In the face of the powerful enemy army, the people of Suiguo were not intimidated, and they preferred to die in battle than to be slaves to the country. Therefore, in the battle against the Qi army, they prepared for the battle with blood and stubbornly resisted, but in the end, due to the disparity in strength, they were outnumbered, and the monarch of suiguo was killed, the tribesmen were captured, and half of the people died in the war. After the sui state was destroyed, in order to prevent the people from rebelling, the Duke of Qi Heng used the people of sui as slaves and scattered them throughout the country of Qi. Since then, suiguo has disappeared in history.
