In September this year, Kai Kai and Jia Jia will celebrate their 14th and 13th birthdays. The two pandas arrived in Singapore in 2012 and mated for the first time in 2015, and Jia Jia then showed signs of pregnancy, but ultimately did not succeed. In the past 7 years, Kai Kai and Jia Jia have not been able to produce good news whether they have undergone natural mating or artificial insemination, and the mood of the Singaporean people has also experienced expectations and disappointments. The mating season for giant pandas is generally from March to May, and mating is performed only once a year. The reproductive process of giant pandas is very complicated, and the fertility period of female pandas is only 24 to 36 hours.
