On August 16, 1986, Tong Shuangchun's family moved from Huangpu District to Tianlin Jiu Village. Leaving the cramped coal bathroom in the city center and moving into a new-style new village house, although the location is somewhat remote, the quality of life for the Tong Shuangchun family has been greatly improved. However, more than 30 years ago, Tianlin is still as its name suggests, in addition to the houses, post offices, grain and oil stores and other necessary facilities, as far as the eye can see, it is really full of Tian and Lin. In the summer, frogs are heard, and weasels are infested at night. There are only two bus lines in the entire block that lead to the city. To Xujiahui is already like a short business trip. Whenever it rains and the ground is muddy, people go to catch the car, step on it, and when they pull it up, their shoes are still stuck in the soil.
But Tong Shuangchun still liked it at once. After all, the living conditions in the new village are much better than the living conditions of coal and bathroom in the urban area. Another reason he liked his new home was that most of the people who lived in the same village at that time were literary and artistic people. Tong Shuangchun lives on the sixth floor of a unit building in Tianlin Jiu Village. In the 6-storey unit building where Tong Shuangchun is located, there are Ren Tongxiang, a famous Peking opera player, Zhao Wenkui, a famous Peking opera player, Xu Jin, a famous Peking opera artist, Xiao Gao Xueqiao, a famous peking opera artist, Zhu Mei Estate, and a comical famous li qing.

In the late 1980s, when he needed to discuss the script with his partner, he only needed to discuss it with Li Qing downstairs; on the eve of going abroad to perform, when he encountered a fragment of Peking Opera in a burlesque play, he only had to go downstairs to ask the famous artist for advice. Sometimes other literary and artistic circles performed abroad, and they would bring back cross-talk videos and foreign cross-talk CDs from Taiwan, which were very rare at that time, to Tong Shuangchun. Everyone interacted with each other, lived together day by day, and witnessed the changes in the fields and forests.

But sometimes there is no car to pick up, and Tong Shuangchun and his partner also ride out to perform on their own.
Once, Tong Shuangchun had a performance at 7:30 p.m. in the Popular Theater, but on the same day there were guests at home, and everyone was talking and chatting on their heads, not paying attention until 7 p.m. Tong Shuangchun was still at home. Seeing that the time was not right, Tong Shuangchun was scared of sweat, and quickly rode a bicycle along caoxi road to the theater, riding his legs weakly to the theater, and the time was exactly 3 minutes before the opening.
At that time, Tong Shuangchun thought that those roads leading to the city would be opened, and the traffic routes would definitely increase. In 1985, there were only bus lines 89 and 205 in Tianlin District, and by 2014, there were 42 city bus lines, 8 bus lines to the suburbs, and rail transit lines 3, 4 and 9. Going out from Tianlin to the city is no longer a difficult thing.
As a well-known person, Tong Shuangchun retains the caution of Shanghai men.
In 1989, Tong Shuangchun performed in foreign countries. Fellow travelers have praised the real cost of buying motorcycles abroad for tax exemption. After coming and going, Tong Shuangchun couldn't help but be moved, so he bought a Yamaha motorcycle to bring back to Shanghai. However, Tong Shuangchun was cautious and cautious, coupled with myopia, so he set a standard for his family not to drive in a "few noes" situation. Including: do not ride at night, do not ride on windy days, do not ride on rainy days, do not ride when wearing a suit... As a result, there are only a few days of riding a motorcycle every year. He rode extremely slowly, and when he returned home after a performance, Li Qing, who was riding a bicycle, had returned to the building, but Tong Shuangchun, who was riding a motorcycle, was still on the road.
Another time Tong Shuangchun rode a motorcycle home along Zhongshan Road, and encountered a large pond with water in the location of the original Galaxy Hotel, and Tong Shuangchun and his car fell into the pond. The man finally struggled to get up, but the car could not be lifted. There were many onlookers, but none of them reached out to help. Until the traffic police came, recognized Tong Shuangchun, and beckoned everyone to help, the crowd laughed: Ah, you are really wrestling, ah, we just watched you call for help, think it is so realistic, think that in the movie, everyone is looking for a camera position to avoid, dare not come over.
In this way, Tong Shuangchun is even more afraid to ride, but he is extremely protective of this motorcycle. Whenever in Tianlin Jiu village, everyone saw that Tong Shuangchun had been wiping his baby car and polishing it smoothly. Until the motorcycle was sold 8 years later, the mileage display was less than 6,000 kilometers.

On the eve of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, all the old houses in the Tianlin area were uniformly painted in bright colors. The entire Tianlin area has a new look. But the first residents who lived there were all old people. Tong Shuangchun has attended several memorial services for his old neighbors in those years.
This old man who had been thundering every morning to go to the green space of Qinzhou Road to practice exercises was now having a hard time going down to the sixth floor. He was trapped.
Because he could not carry things downstairs, he also reduced the frequency of visiting friends. But he longed to add elevators or lifting equipment suitable for the elderly in the old house. After all, the entire residents of Tianlin New Village are facing serious aging problems.
In 2019, through media reports, two municipal people's congress deputies came to Tong Shuangchun's home to inspect the reports on the difficulties of Jiati, which caused strong social repercussions. The person in charge of Tianlin Street in Xuhui District and the cadres of the neighborhood committee came to Tong Shuangchun's home to communicate with him face-to-face.
"I can't bear to leave here. I loved everything about TianLin. I used to go up and down the stairs eight or nine times a day with my grandson, and I had to compete with him to go upstairs to see who would get home first, but I didn't know how soon he was going to get old. ”
He once took a group photo of seven people with several literary and art workers in the same building. But now only he and Li Qing are still alive on the group photo.
