Obituary

Zhang Yuanyuan, a music and art management teacher in the Department of Musicology of the Central Conservatory of Music, a member of the China Association for the Promotion of Democracy, and an outstanding young art management talent, died at the age of 40 in Anyang People's Hospital at 17:00 on October 30, 2020 due to ineffective medical treatment.

Teacher Zhang Yuanyuan's life

Born in 1981 in Anyang, Henan Province, Ms. Zhang Yuanyuan was admitted to the Wuhan Conservatory of Music in 1994, majored in violin, and in 2000 was admitted to the Department of Musicology of the Central Conservatory of Music, and after graduation, she went to the University of EVRY VAL D'ESSONNE in Paris to study for a master's degree in "Music and Drama Management". After returning to China in 2008, he worked at the National Centre for the Performing Arts as a senior project director of the performance department, and in 2018, he officially joined the Department of Musicology of the Central Conservatory of Music and became a professional teacher in the Teaching and Research Department of Music and Art Management.

Teacher Zhang Yuanyuan has participated in the planning and coordination of various types of art activities. Among them, the key music brands that have been curated are: 2009-2012 National Centre for the Performing Arts Folk Music 100 Parade Series, 2008-2018 National Centre for the Performing Arts Chinese Symphony Spring, 2009-2012 National Centre for the Performing Arts Walk Classic Series, 2010 National Centre for the Performing Arts August Chorus Festival, etc.; with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Ellington Jazz Orchestra, the French National Jazz Orchestra, the Royal Netherlands Concert hall Jazz Orchestra, and Charles Dutois, Lorraine Maazer, Christian Tillermann, Essen Bach, etc. have cooperated with famous international troupes and famous artists for many times; participated in the preparation and implementation of the 2009 National Centre for the Performing Arts First International Brokerage Company Summit Forum, 2010 National Centre for the Performing Arts Opera Forum, 2012 China Symphony Foundation 6th China Symphony Summit Forum, 2015 National Centre for the Performing Arts 3rd Beijing International Ballet Competition, In 2018, the 2nd Central Conservatory of Music Belt and Road Education Alliance Conference and the 40th Anniversary Forum of the Reform and Opening-up of the Central Conservatory of Music were art summit forums; the Chinese and foreign cultural exchange activities he participated in organized were: the Paris Theater Festival in Paris, the Asian Arts Festival in Paris, the Spring of Sino-French Cultural Exchanges, and the cultural and educational exchange activities between the Central Conservatory of Music and Indonesia.

Professor Zhang Yuanyuan's main research areas and courses include: "The Operation and Management of Artists", "Operation and Execution of Theater Music Projects", "Development History and Status Quo of World Famous Arts Festivals", "Dissemination of Chinese Symphony Works from the Perspective of Art Management", "Cultivation of Theater Management Talents Oriented by "Precise Positioning" in Higher Music Colleges", "Entering the Artistic Director", etc.

Whether at the National Centre for the Performing Arts or at the Central Conservatory of Music, Teacher Zhang Yuanyuan works particularly hard and conscientiously, and always maintains the best working state. In the days of suffering from illness, she still stood strong in every class, cared for every student, and was seriously responsible for every job, until the last moment of her life.
