According to the Department of Commerce of Qinghai Province, since the implementation of the demonstration construction of e-commerce into rural areas in 2015, the department has actively guided the demonstration counties to expand the coverage of rural e-commerce services, improve the three-level logistics system in counties and villages, smooth the internal circulation, and enable more farmers and herdsmen to enjoy convenient services for online shopping. In 2019, Zhiduo County of Yushu Prefecture was included in the scope of the national e-commerce into rural demonstration counties, and the county increased the guidance of e-commerce into rural demonstration projects in view of the characteristics of many local monasteries and monks gathering, and conducted in-depth research in various villages and monasteries to accurately understand the online shopping situation of farmers and herdsmen and monks.
Zhiduo County through research learned that 10 kilometers away from Zhiduo County, at an altitude of 4300 meters above sea level, there is a Gonza Temple on the slope of The Kagi Ani Gabao Mountain, there are more than 500 monks in the temple, with the popularity of e-commerce into the countryside, they have gradually learned to shop online, but because the location of the Gonza Temple is far from the county seat, picking up and sending mail brings them difficulties, which greatly affects their enthusiasm for online shopping. To this end, the relevant departments of Zhiduo County coordinated the construction of enterprises, planning to set up an "e-commerce logistics station" in Gongsa Temple, to help monks solve the problem of sending and receiving mail, and a few days ago, it was officially put into operation at Gongsa Temple, which was praised by the monks of the monastery.
The project undertaker also focused on the application of the e-commerce platform, platform orders, returns, inquiries and other online shopping knowledge, taking on-site teaching, one-on-one counseling, interactive exchanges and other ways to conduct training, on-site answers to various difficulties and problems encountered by monks in the process of online shopping, and improved the monks' enthusiasm for online shopping.
The Department of Commerce of Qinghai Province said that in the next step, Zhiduo County will continue to promote the construction of e-commerce public services, tertiary logistics distribution and e-commerce talent training, transform and enhance e-commerce public service functions, integrate resources, optimize logistics distribution, strengthen e-commerce talent training, expand the coverage of rural express delivery, and help rural e-commerce and rural revitalization to effectively connect.
