Coco Xili, located within the scope of Sanjiangyuan National Park (pilot), is an important habitat for the Tibetan antelope, a national first-class protected animal. For decades, hundreds of mountain patrolmen have struggled in Coco Xili to fight against poaching and anti-theft, fight against Tibetan antelope poachers, fight against the harsh natural environment, and guard all living beings in the "ecological pure land" with youth and even life.
Over the years, the World Natural Heritage Site of Coco Siri has continuously increased its protection efforts, effectively curbing the occurrence of poaching of Tibetan antelope, the population of Tibetan antelope in the reserve has increased from less than 20,000 to more than 70,000, and the large-scale migration of Tibetan antelope has reappeared on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
