Under the Seat of the Buddha there are sixteen arhats and two venerables, collectively known as the eighteen arhats. Before the Song Dynasty, it was customary to say that there were sixteen arhats, and the flourishing culture of the Song Dynasty derived the idea of eighteen arhats, and later became the mainstream version. The eighteen arhats each have their own names and abilities.
The first one is called the Descending Dragon Arhat, who is known as the Living Buddha Jigong, so the popularity of the Descending Dragon Arhat is the highest among the eighteen Arhats. Legend has it that he surrendered the Dragon King, who brought great water to the human world during the ancient Indian period, so he was revered as the Descending Dragon Arhat. Being able to subdue the Dragon King shows that the ability of the Descending Dragon Arhat is not small.

The second was the Sitting Deer Arhat, also known as His Holiness Binropadra, who was originally a minister of the ancient Indian king, but he was bent on becoming a monk. The king was reluctant to this talented courtier, but to no avail. Later, the roe deer arhat also returned to the palace to persuade the king to join him in the family, which shows that this roe deer arhat is not only deep in his morality, but also outstanding in eloquence.
The third arhat is called the Bowl Lifting Arhat, because he likes to go around and get the name Ofagle Arhat. He had to raise the bowl high every time he changed his fate, and if he succeeded in turning it once, it would be fine, otherwise he would have to raise the bowl many times. But the lifting bowl Arhat has firm willpower, and he can tirelessly lift the bowl every day.
The fourth arhat was the cross-river arhat, who often crossed the river to spread the Dharma, hence the name Cross-River Arhat, which is said to have brought Dharma to the East Indies. The Arhat is a master of the Dharma, whose Dharma cultivation is extremely high, who likes to purify sentient beings, and who is a kind and capable Arhat.
The fifth Arhat is fuhu arhat, whose name often appears with the descending dragon arhat. He lives in a place where hungry tigers are infested, but Fuhu Luohan is kind-hearted and often distributes his food to the tigers. Over time, the tiger obeyed him, and he was named Fuhu. The ability of the Fuhu Arhat is not ordinary, as can be seen from his ability to subdue the tiger without harming the tiger.
The sixth arhat was a meditative arhat, who was originally a fierce and aggressive man, and his master made him meditate in order to change his personality. Over time, he practiced the skill of meditation, and in addition to meditation, ordinary people could not beat the meditative arhats with strong physique and stable mentality.
The seventh arhat was a long-eyebrow arhat, who practiced in the first life until his eyebrows fell out without success, and then continued to practice in the second life, and finally cultivated to the right result. Being able to persist in the cultivation of the two lifetimes, his willpower is very unattainable, but the most admirable thing is the endurance of the long-eyebrow arhat.
The eighth Arhat is the Cloth Bag Arhat, who often carries the cloth bag to catch snakes, so he is named cloth bag Arhat. The cloth bag Arhat is proud and atmospheric, and also helps people catch snakes in hundreds of millions of ways to prevent snakes from biting innocent people. His kindness has a big pattern, and his ability to catch snakes is also very strong.
The ninth Arhat was the Gatekeeper, who once broke someone else's door because of the strength of the knock on the door. Later, the Buddha gave him a Buddha's battle and put him at the door of the incarnated person. When the Buddha is transformed into an arhat, he can put himself in the shoes of others, and he is not in a hurry, and his forbearance is also a skill.
The tenth Arhat is the Detective Arhat, the son of the medicine fork god, who inherited the wisdom of his ancestors. Every time he finishes something, he likes to stretch out and put his hand on it. The Detective Arhat is proficient in medicine, his medical attainment is very high, he is a very powerful Arhat.

Because they can think deeply, the thinking of contemplating arhats is more active, and their wisdom is higher than that of other arhats. He was a very clever arhat with great wisdom.
The twelfth arhat was an elephant rider, who was originally an elephant trainer and therefore often rode an elephant. Later, riding an elephant arhat to see through the red dust of the past, he chose to become a monk to practice Buddhism. It's just that although he is a monk, he still rides an elephant, and his ability to tame elephants has not regressed.
The thirteenth Arhat is the Joyful Arhat, who is a debater who often debates things with others. Sometimes because of the heated debate, various expressions appear on his face, so he is called a joyful arhat. Rejoicing Arhat's eloquence, rigorous debate logic, is a great debater.

After giving way, he also showed the Buddha statue on his chest to everyone, and his actions won the love of everyone, so he was very happy and often laughed and giggled.
The sixteenth Arhat is tota Arhat, famous for holding a seven-story pagoda in his hand. Tota Arhat was a close disciple of the Buddha, so he often held up a pagoda to commemorate the Buddha.
