Bloomberg: Apple has appointed Shapiro as its new treasurer, managing a $200 billion cash reserve

Bloomberg reported on October 8, citing people familiar with the matter, that Apple has appointed Michael Shapiro as its new financial director, replacing the recently retired Gary Wipfler. Shapiro is a longtime employee of Apple's finance team and its cash management subsidiary, Braeburn Capital. Previously, Wiffler had worked for Apple for 35 years. Shapiro will be the new big steward of Apple's nearly $200 billion cash reserves.
