My name is Xu Xiaying, I am an entrepreneur who returned to my hometown and a party representative from the countryside.
I was born in Shaogutong Village, Jiegou Town, Yucheng County, our village is a well-known Zongzi village within a radius of tens of kilometers, which has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 100 years. Since I was a child, I have had a special affection for Zongzi and dreamed of making it bigger and stronger one day. When I was in college, I did not hesitate to register 2 trademarks: one is "nostalgia", which represents the feelings of my hometown when I was studying; the other is "Shao Gutong", registered in the name of my village, inspired to do a good job, make It bigger, and make it famous, so that it appears on the shelves of major supermarkets, so that more people know Shao Gutong.
After graduating with a master's degree in 2014, in order to strengthen the Zongzi brand in my hometown and let the villagers achieve employment at the doorstep of their homes, I gave up the opportunity to study abroad and returned to my hometown to set up Xu's Zongye Food Workshop, professionally focusing on making Zongzi. At that time, everyone did not understand, they said that a master went home to pack rice dumplings, he already knew what else to study, and all kinds of discussions and sneers were there. I was under all kinds of pressure, and my parents also took out 100,000 yuan of savings to support me to start a business.
In the spring of 2015, my husband and I set up a rice dumpling processing factory in Xingying Village, and we did everything ourselves. Due to the good sales of rice dumplings that year, after the Spring Festival of the following year, we opened up sufficient production horsepower to prepare for the Dragon Boat Festival market. There is no cold storage at home, so I rented a cold storage nearby. But who undertook that the cold storage did not reach the set temperature, and when it was shipped out, it was found that more than 1,000 pieces of rice dumplings all had mildew spots, and more than 300,000 yuan were lost at once. My husband tearfully buried the rice dumplings and said to me, "If you have nothing to lose, let's give up." I advised my husband that since he had chosen to come back, he would persevere.
With the support of the local government, we handled all the formalities such as SC, established a factory of about 1600 square meters, standardized the production workshop, increased the equipment, introduced the southern wrapping cooking process, and innovated more than 10 varieties of honey jujube dumplings and red bean dumplings, which are sweet and strong but not greasy. Zongzi factory and three of the country's top ten food enterprises cooperation, today, our factory annual output of rice dumplings more than 500 tons, exported to more than 20 provinces and cities, annual sales of more than 6 million yuan.
When recruiting workers, I give priority to poor households, and 10 of the more than 40 workers in the factory who have been working for many years are poor households. I joined hands with the village precision poverty alleviation cooperative, and 88 poor households enjoyed dividends with an annual income of more than 1200 yuan, which effectively led to the employment of villagers at the doorstep of their homes, especially the employment of women comrades.
