The work tells the legendary love story of Pei Ruiqing, Li Huiniang and Lu Zhaorong. During the Southern Song Dynasty, the scholar Pei Ruiqing went to Beijing to take the exam, and by the West Lake Bridge, he met Li Huiniang, a confidant of the red face of the green plum bamboo horse, and the two of them, Qin Zhen and Ming, complained about their feelings. Helplessly, at this time, Hui Niang had become a concubine of The Powerful Lady, and Rui Qing went away. Hui Niang sighed "Beautiful Boy", and Jia Xiangdao killed Hui Niang under the sword.
