A few days ago, the author walked into the breeding pen of Li Chao, a villager in He'ao Village, Hot Spring Town, Xifeng District, and saw a black goat with a black coat, and Li Chao was adding hay to the sheep and cleaning the sheep house.

Li Chao, 51, used to be a worker in an electric machinery factory and has been working outside the country since he was laid off. As his mother grew older, he decided to return to his hometown to take care of his mother while starting a business. After Li Chao went to Yunnan, Guizhou, Shandong and other places to investigate and study, he found that the Nubian black goat is large, fertile and has high breeding income.

In May 2018, Li Chao made up his mind to raise more than 100,000 yuan and use his own vacant land to build a sheep barn. In July, he introduced 17 black goats from Yunnan-Guizhou region for centralized breeding, and began to develop the sheep breeding industry through self-breeding and self-raising.

"Nubian black goats are multi-breed sheep that can give birth to two litters a year and 2 to 3 lambs a year." Li Chao introduced that a lamb can be sold after feeding for 3 to 5 months. A sheep of about 35 kilograms can sell for about 1800 yuan, and a sheep of about 50 kilograms can sell for about 2500 yuan, and the market prospect is good.

Raising sheep is not only a physical work, but also a delicate work. Since the breeding of black goats, Li Chao has been greedy for black sheep early, actively explored breeding experience, learned from books, asked for advice from large breeders, and regularly added materials to sheep every day, cleaned up the pen, disinfected the sheep pen, and done a good job in epidemic prevention.

The hardships of entrepreneurship make Li Chao's family see in their eyes and hurt in their hearts. The 80-year-old mother, as long as she has time, helps Li Chao mix hay for the sheep, and his wife often helps with cooking. "In recent years, the happiest thing is to be able to work hard with family and friends, struggle together, and chase dreams together." Li Chao said with a smile.

Over the past few years, Li Chao has accumulated rich breeding experience through continuous learning, and the number of sheep in the pen has reached more than 60 at the most, and the benefits are getting better and better. While li chao became rich by raising sheep, he also continuously led the surrounding farmers to breed black goats, and provided them with free breeding technical guidance services through WeChat and telephone.

"Last year, the black goats raised on their own and earned nearly 70,000 yuan. Currently, there are 2 rams and 15 ewes in stock. I plan to renovate and expand the sheep house, increase the scale of breeding, make the sheep industry bigger and stronger, and drive the surrounding masses to get rich together. Li Chao said confidently.
