Chinese folk have a flower dynasty celebration, that is, to commemorate the birthday of the hundred flowers, referred to as the flower dynasty, commonly known as "Flower God Festival", "Hundred Peanut Day", "Flower God Birthday", "Picking Vegetables Festival", Han traditional festivals, popular in North China, East China, Central and Southern China and other places, generally held on the second day of the first month of February, February 12 or February 15 of the lunar calendar.
The twelve flower gods belong to folklore, passed down by word of mouth by the people, representing the flowers of the twelve months in the lunar calendar, and the hundred flowers each have their own gods of flowers. Generations of literati and inkers played with and chanted hundreds of flowers, and made many interesting anecdotes, thus creating a twelve-month flower god. There are many versions of the twelve flower gods, divided into three categories: female flower gods, male flower gods, and male and female flower gods, and this article introduces the mixed versions of men and women.
