Zhang Zheng said: The party's century-long course of struggle has given us profound enlightenment and made us realize that to take today's road well, we must apply historical thinking, draw wisdom and seek nourishment from the history of the party, the history of new China, the history of reform and opening up, and the history of socialist development, and consider the past, today, and the future. Only by having a clear idea of the major events and important events in the history of the party and the country can we have a profound grasp of "why the Communist Party of China can do it," "why Marxism works," and "why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good." To study party history in depth, it is necessary to profoundly understand the actual conditions of development, better grasp the times and the situation, grasp the major events related to the success or failure of the cause of the party and the state, and make contributions to grasping the new development stage, implementing the new development concept, and building a new development pattern. In studying party history in depth, it is necessary to earnestly enhance political awareness, pinpoint coordinates, select the correct orientation, aim at the bull's-eye, be good at observing and handling problems politically, transform stressing politics from external requirements into internal initiatives, constantly enhance political judgment, persist in unswervingly taking a political stand and not biasing the political direction; enhance political understanding, deeply study and integrate the spirit of the party Central Committee; and enhance political execution, not to fall behind, not to deviate, and to grasp the implementation of the spirit of the party Central Committee to the letter.

We must see that China is a big country, and a big country inevitably needs the leadership and support of a big party; the larger the party, the more it needs to have its own core and leader, the more it must resolutely safeguard the core position of General Secretary Xi Jinping's Party Central Committee and the core position of the whole Party, and resolutely safeguard the authority of the Party Central Committee and centralized and unified leadership.

Guangming Daily always keeps in mind its duties and missions, thoroughly implements the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter to Guangming Daily on the 70th anniversary of its founding, and has taken many specific measures and achieved certain achievements in publicizing and educating on party history and serving the "great power of the country". In the future, we will strengthen the study of party history, enhance the theoretical level, enhance ideological understanding, enhance political ability, focus on building a bright all-media matrix with advanced technology and distinctive characteristics, strive to expand the territory of mainstream value influence, and work closely with experts and scholars to work hand in hand with fraternal media to jointly do a good job in party history study, education, and propaganda, do a good job in publicizing and explaining the party's innovative theories, principles, and policies, and gather the 1.4 billion Chinese into a magnificent force for promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
