author:Wangcheng of Internet information

In the exhibition hall on the second floor of the Hongyan Soul Exhibition Hall of the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum in Chongqing, a letter written by the heroic martyr Jiang Zhujun of Hongyan to his relatives is displayed. The letter was written on August 27, 1949, when Jiang Zhujun was imprisoned in Zha di Dong Prison. The "Zhu Andi" who raised the letter was not actually the younger brother of Jiang Zhujun, but the younger brother of Jiang Zhujun's husband Peng Yongwu's ex-wife, Tan Zhu'an.

Jiang Zhujun was born on August 20, 1920 in Jiangjiawan, Dashanpu Town, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, to an ordinary peasant family, and joined the Communist Party of China in the summer of 1939.

In 1943, for reasons of security, the organization decided to send Jiang Zhujun, a member of the underground party Chongqing New Urban District Committee, to pretend to be the wife of Peng Yongwu, a member of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, to assist him in his work.

Jiang Zhujun understood that all this was for the sake of the revolution and resolutely accepted this task. Since then, Jiang Zhujun and Peng Yongwu have gradually become the closest colleagues and comrades-in-arms. In the experience of living together, fighting together, and experiencing together, they cared for and respected each other, and gradually developed feelings. In 1946, Peng Yun, the son of Jiang Zhujun and Peng Yongwu, was born.

On January 16, 1948, during the armed uprising in the eastern part of Xiachuan, Peng Yongwu led his troops to encounter the enemy, and was heroically sacrificed, and his head was cut off by the enemy and hung on the city tower for public display.

On June 14, 1948, due to the betrayal of traitors, Jiang Zhujun was unfortunately arrested in Wanxian County. On June 15, together with Li Qinglin, deputy secretary of the Wanxian County Party Committee of the underground party, he was transferred from Wanxian to Chongqing Zhadidong Detention Center. When the agents interrogated Jiang Zhujun, Jiang Zhujun did not know every question, and even Peng Yongwu said that he did not recognize it, and then he simply did not answer anything. The agents tortured Jiang Zhujun, oleander chopsticks, tiger stools... Jiang Zhujun passed out in pain many times, and was awakened by cold water. Repeated many times, but what he got was still Jiang Zhujun's sharp scolding.

In August 1949, Zeng Zixia, who was also imprisoned, was released. The night before his release from prison, Jiang Zhujun dipped a bamboo stick in "ink" made of cotton ash, wrote a "letter to orphans" on extremely thin raw paper, and entrusted Zeng Zixia to hand it over to Tan Zhu'an.

In the letter, Jiang Zhujun wrote: "I have the confidence of victory and survival, since the day I was imprisoned, I have made up my mind to go to prison for two years, and now the situation has changed, and it is possible to get out of prison at the end of the year." We don't sit in jail for nothing, we keep learning. Hopefully you'll make even more amazing progress when we meet. Then again, we are still people in the tiger's mouth, and our lives and deaths are uncertain. If unfortunate, Yun Er will send you, hoping to follow in the footsteps of your parents, to build a new China, and to fight to the end for the cause of communism. Children should never be pampered, and it is enough to eat rough and light. ”
