From April 18 to May 6, the first 19-day Lushan Rhododendron Festival will be held in Pinggou Village, Sikeshu Township. During the period, a series of cultural, tourism and business negotiation activities such as "Special Food Festival", "Tourism Products and Characteristic Agricultural Products Promotion and Negotiation", "Rhododendron Photography Contest" and "Rhododendron Festival Essay Contest" will be organized, and the scenic spots will be open for free. During the event, Sikeshu Township will take measures such as restricting the flow of people, strengthening disinfection and sterilization, and comprehensive monitoring and registration to effectively strengthen epidemic prevention and control. Tourists who come to enjoy the flowers should wear masks and cooperate with the staff to do a good job of temperature measurement and information registration.
Sikeshu Township has a pleasant climate, sufficient sunlight and forest coverage of more than 80%, which is a famous original ecological tourism resort in the southwest of Lushan County, known as a land rich in oxygen, and the Azalea Ridge Scenic Area in Pinggou Village is the main production area of local rhododendrons. The township has driven the development of planting, breeding, processing, farmhouses, homestays and other related industries with tourism development, and has created a large number of excellent agricultural and sideline products such as Zhanggou grass pig, Hezhuang beef leg goat, Pinggou honey, Tulou Xinyi, Hezhuang red pine mushroom, etc., forming an industrial pattern with tourism as the main body and driving the comprehensive development of breeding, breeding and processing.
In recent years, Lushan County has introduced a series of reward and compensation policies to guide and encourage the masses to increase their income and become rich through the development of tourism, engaging in tourism, and relying on tourism.
