Zhang Daqian led the two peak giant productions

Zhang Daqian has always been a pillar and "leading stock" in the market, and at the Sotheby's Autumn Auction in Hong Kong in October, Zhang Daqian's huge splashing work "Spring Clouds and Mist" sold for HK$214.6 million, setting the second highest price in the artist's auction record. This season, Jiade Autumn Photograph presented two huge works, "To Li Qiujun Xiashan Gao Hidden Map" and "Autumn Xi Tu", which represent the best state of Zhang Daqian's ancient Jingyan and his later years of pouring color, both of which have been hidden for many years.

Shanghai's first shot focuses on Eastern and Western contemporary art, focusing on the "post-70s +" youth art power at home and abroad. Let's take a look at the list of auction artists: Jonas Bogt, Jonas Wood, Abdia, Ferora Yukhnović, Gig Cruz, Pingzi Yuichi, Wen Hengtai, etc., European, Japanese and Korean artists; the Chinese Contemporary Section, which gathers popular artists in the domestic post-70s, 80s and 90s markets, including Chen Yujun, Gao Yu, Li Jikai, Ni Youyu, Ouyang Chun, Qin Qi, Xiong Yu, Wu Jian'an, Zhao Zhao, Zhao Yang and other domestic art market active forces, providing a vibrant collection list for the market.

The works of "modern Van Gogh" Wang Junjie made their debut on the mainland

One of the highlights of this auction is the debut of wang Junjie's work in the mainland auction with the reputation of "contemporary Van Gogh" - "White Light", created in 2017, is a very special work of the artist, the artistic conception of traditional Chinese literati painting and the fiery heat of Western expressionism are perfectly blended, and this auction is also the debut of this Canadian genius artist in the mainland auction.

Jonas Boggett's "Carnival Solitude"

Another highlight of the Shanghai premiere was a major work by German figurative painting master Jonas Burgert, Glutschicht, which has been exhibited in important art institutions such as the Tang Dynasty Art Center and the Long Museum, and is a typical style of the artist. Under the colorful carnival-like picture, the artist's thinking about death, darkness, consciousness, and spirit is implied. In addition to bringing us a very impactful visual feeling, this work also brings us the emotional resonance of everyone in the post-epidemic era - the sense of loneliness that pervades the chaotic world.
