Dongjiaokou Village, once a small mountain village hidden deep in the mountains, is closed in traffic, inconvenient to come and go, and even somewhat isolated from the world. With the development of poverty alleviation work, the village of Dongjiaokou has undergone earth-shaking changes, the road has been opened, the network has been connected, and the people's thinking has also been "connected". All this is inseparable from the hard work and sweat of Guo Huan, the first secretary of the village.
Recently, the reporter met with Guo Huan, the first secretary of the village in the eastern suburbs. Previously, he went to Beijing to participate in the National Poverty Alleviation Summary and Commendation Conference and was awarded the title of "National Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation".
"When I first went to the village, there were 26 households and 110 people in the village, accounting for more than half of the village's population, and it was the only deeply impoverished village in Anyang City." Recalling the past three years ago, Guo Huan couldn't help but sigh continuously, "At that time, it took four or five hours to drive from Anyang city to the village, and the mountain road was very difficult, I really didn't expect such a poor place." "Guo Huan, who has lived in the city since childhood, came to Dongjiaokou Village and has a real feeling for poverty.
Dongjiaokou Village is located in the northwest of Yindu District, belongs to the Taihang Mountains Yumai area, the village is more than 100 kilometers away from Anyang City, about 30 kilometers away from the Duli Town Government, the whole village is poor in many mountains, with a total of 55 households, a population of 196 people, and an area of 230 acres of cultivated land. "At that time, the traffic road was impassable, the car could not enter the village, there was no network signal in the village, and the basic conditions were very poor. Moreover, there is no party branch secretary in the village, only 1 village committee chairman. The village has not developed party members for many years, the party organization is basically in a state of paralysis, and the organizational life cannot be carried out normally. Guo Huan told reporters.
It was in this state that Guo Huan began his work in the village. He visited the masses for many consecutive days, surveyed the village conditions and public opinions, exchanged and communicated with the party members in the village one by one, and held a villagers' congress to let the party members and the masses enhance their ideological understanding. In 2018, Dongjiaokou Village elected 1 secretary of the party branch and 1 director of the village committee, 3 branch committees and 1 village committee through the change of term, and equipped with a strong team of the two village committees, laying a solid foundation for the work of poverty alleviation. "In the election for a new term, Qin Baoshu and Meng Zhiwei, two poor households from the past, were elected to the teams of the two village committees, Qin Baoshu was elected as the village chairman, and Meng Zhiwei was elected as a member of the branch committee." Guo Huan said, "This has not only enriched the leading bodies of the two village committees, but also set an example for the masses to get rid of poverty." ”
Dongjiaokou Village is located in the depths of the mountains, the environment is closed, the traffic is inconvenient, and some elderly people in the village have never even been to Anyang. "When I first came to the village, an old man asked me to help charge the phone bill, only 1 yuan." Guo Huan said that the old man just asked for a non-stop to facilitate his own receipt of his son's call. Such a thing deeply stimulated Guo Huan, who secretly resolved to let the villagers get rid of poverty and become rich.
Since 2018, Guo Huan has raised funds from many sources, actively contacted cities, districts and towns, and newly expanded the town and village roads. In the past few years, the municipal and county departments have invested more than 1.6 million yuan to build and repair the infrastructure in Dongjiaokou Village, built a new cultural room, a health room and 4 standardized tourist toilets, built a cultural activity square and a rest pavilion in the village, repaired the mass stage, painted the cultural wall, installed solar street lights, and rebuilt the revetment of the surrounding village. The improvement of these infrastructures has greatly solved the production and living difficulties of the masses, enriched the amateur life of the villagers, and enhanced everyone's sense of gain, happiness and security.
If the masses want to get rid of poverty, they must have industries. Before 2018, there were no enterprises and economic organizations in Dongjiaokou Village, and it was difficult to develop the village's collective economy. After Guo Huan was stationed in the village, he established the Anyang Dongxin Peppercorn Professional Planting Cooperative, and coordinated and supported the enterprise Yulong Coking Group Co., Ltd. to sign a long-term agricultural product underwriting agreement with the cooperative. In 2018, the cooperative sold more than 500 catties of peppercorns and 3,500 catties of sweet potato noodles, and each poor household paid a dividend of 210 yuan. In 2019, combined with the Dejiang Agricultural Products Company, a leading enterprise introduced by the Duli Town Government, the poverty-stricken model of "leading enterprises + cooperatives + poor households" was adopted, and the leading enterprises were responsible for the purchase and underwriting of agricultural products of the village collective cooperatives, so as to realize the branding and marketization of agricultural products, enhance the competitiveness of products, broaden the channels for increasing income of village collective cooperatives, and increase the income of poor households. "At the end of 2018, 65 people from 15 households and 65 people in Dongjiaokou Village achieved stable poverty alleviation, and the incidence of poverty dropped to 2.5%, taking off the hat of a deeply impoverished village." Guo Huan said that the work that year was really hard, but it was also very meaningful.
In April 2019, Guo Huan guided the opening of the first farm in Dongjiaokou Village, and it was opened by Wang Qiong, a poor household. During the small long holiday, many self-driving tourists come to Dongjiaokou Village to eat and stay. At present, the zhanghe gorge national wetland park tourism area has set up 3 sightseeing spots in Dongjiaokou Village, laying the foundation for the development of rural tourism in the village.
After returning from Beijing, Guo Huan embarked on a new journey. "In the next step, I will continue to pay attention to the development of Dongjiaokou Village, which is my second hometown, and I will spare no effort to help Dongjiaokou Village continue to develop in the revitalization of the countryside."
