On the morning of September 16, in the forecourt of the Exhibition Hall of the Shaoshan Special Branch of the Communist Party of China, the red-themed movie "Fortress" (formerly known as "Special Branch") was officially filmed. Zhang Yingchun, secretary of the Xiangtan Municipal Party Committee, announced the official start of the film, and together with Liu Lifeng, second-level inspector of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Zhou Xiaoli, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and director of the Propaganda Department, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Hunan Radio and Film Group (Hunan Radio and Television Station), and Gu Liang, secretary of the party committee and chairman of Xiaoxiang Film Group, jointly unveiled the film.
The film "Fortress" is directed by the Propaganda Department of the Hunan Provincial CPC Committee and jointly produced by the Propaganda Department of the XIANGTAN Municipal CPC Committee, Xiaoxiang Film Group Co., Ltd., Xiangtan Daily, Xiangtan Zhaoshan Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd., Xiangtan Urban and Rural Construction and Development Co., Ltd., Xiangtan Radio and Television Station, and Shaoshan High-tech Construction Investment Co., Ltd.
Founded in June 1925, the Shaoshan Special Branch of the Communist Party of China is one of the earliest rural party branches founded by Comrade Mao Zedong himself and established in the history of our party, and has a special position and important value in the history of the Chinese revolution and the history of party building ideology. The movie "Fortress" takes the story of "Shaoshan Five Masters" as the background, telling the story of the first party members of the Shaoshan Special Branch who waged a deadly struggle against the enemy in order to practice revolutionary ideals and beliefs. The film adopts a genre film creation, incorporating elements of espionage and suspense, and is full of watchability. The producer of the movie "Fortress" is Liu Ning, Han Keyi is the screenwriter and director, and the actors include Guo Xiaodong, Xue Haowen, Yi Heng, Wang Jiayu and so on. The film is expected to be released in December 2021.
On the same day, the film crew of the movie "Fortress" set up a temporary party branch, and the party committee of Xiaoxiang Film Group awarded it a plaque. After the launching ceremony, the crew moved to Shaoshan Village for the first shoot.
Before the ceremony, the relevant leaders, guests and main creators of the crew presented flower baskets to the bronze statue of Comrade Mao Zedong and visited the Shaoshan Special Branch Exhibition Hall.
