On May 10 this year, the UnionPay production and marketing service platform was put into operation to Ningxia DeyangSheng Manor Goji Berry Planting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Deyangsheng Planting"). On June 5, the project staff went to the field to debug, hoping to show their skills in the harvesting of head stubble goji berries in mid-June. While waiting for the transaction data to arrive, "Life of the Gold Card" waited for the hail to come first. On June 10, the climate was changing rapidly, and the head stubble goji berries were mercilessly hit on the ground by hailstones before the pickers could do it. The regrowth of goji berries has touched the hearts of countless people, in addition to waiting, or waiting, this wait is a month. In mid-July, The health plantation began to use the UnionPay smart acquisition solution, which showed good results after the stubble picking period. By August 24, the average number of UnionPay payment transactions per day increased by 4.56 times in August compared with July, and the transaction amount increased by 6.7 times in August compared with July.
Due to the launch of unionPay smart acquisition solution, this year from green fruit to red, head stubble goji berry picking, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Tongxin County Deyang Health Manor wolfberry base scene is very different from previous years.
The solution covers the generation of identity codes, intelligent electronic scale weighing, and intelligent POS machine payment on the UnionPay production and marketing service platform, and its "combination action" changes the original acquisition model, greatly improving the acquisition efficiency and fresh fruit quality. It is gratifying to see that in the goji berry base of Deyangsheng Manor, the phenomenon of paying the pickers up to 500,000 yuan in cash a day has become a thing of the past; goji berry picking has become the first choice for local farmers to increase their seasonal income, and "cloud flash payment" makes the picking workers "seconds" to collect the work money into reality.
This year, while rewriting the history of goji berry acquisition and payment, Ningxia used real cases to tell the industry how financial technology can empower rural revitalization and benefit the people and enterprises.
01 Get health care to grow goji berries
traceability. "When people reach middle age, they have no choice but to soak goji berries in a thermos cup." Goji berries are not only for middle-aged people on the road, since ancient times, because of the tonic phase is not abandoned by sentient beings; throughout the ages, it is also respected by the apricot forest because of its medicinal value. The "Compendium of Materia Medica" written by the Ming Dynasty pharmacist Li Shizhen collects the Materia Medica, and the "Wolfberry Chapter" lays out nearly 5,000 words. "Spring picking of wolfberry leaves, famous tianjing grass; summer picking flowers, famous long-lived grass; autumn picking, famous wolfberry; winter root, famous bone skin" fully demonstrates the medicinal properties of wolfberry "whole body", and lists 32 medicinal formulas in detail. As Su Shi said, "Roots and flowers, clean up without discards." "Jinka Life" learned that Ningxia goji berries are the only varieties included in the 2010 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
"The Northern Mountains of Zhibi, the words are full of truth." The "Book of Poetry, Xiaoya, Beishan" records the long history of the cultivation of goji berries in China. In Ningxia, goji berries are the first of the "five treasures", and the other four treasures are licorice, helan stone, beach sheepskin and hair vegetables. Ningxia folk commonly known as wolfberries as "Ci", wolfberry garden as "Ci Garden", and farmers who grow wolfberries as "Ci Nong". Not only in Ningxia, but also in the provinces and autonomous regions of Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Xinjiang and Qinghai, there are wild varieties on the banks of deep soils, hillsides, fields and houses, and the central distribution area is in the Hexi Corridor of Gansu, the Qaidam Basin of Qinghai and the Yellow River coast from Qinghai to Shanxi. Health care and medicinal needs drive a large number of artificial cultivation, and many provinces and autonomous regions in central and southern China have carried out the introduction of seeds. Around the middle of the 17th century, Ningxia goji berries were even introduced to France, and then appeared in Europe, mediterranean coastal countries, South Korea and North American countries. However, thanks to the blessing of natural geography, Ningxia goji berries have long enjoyed a reputation in the place of origin for more than 500 years because of the blessing of pinzheng.
Get health care to grow goji berries. Gladly accepting unionPay's smart acquisition solution, Deyang Cultivation is located in Tongxin County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the first county of organic goji berries in China, and is a new type of modern agricultural enterprise in the whole industrial chain of organic goji berries that is self-cultivated and self-processed by "plugging in selenium capital". In the two ecological resettlement areas of Deyangsheng Village and Qiantianling Village in Hexi Town, Deyang health planting has built an organic wolfberry base using more than 10,000 mu of circulating land, which has driven 2,093 households in the two villages and surrounding migrants to get rid of poverty and become rich, as early as 2016, it has achieved the reputation of "leading enterprise" of health care planting industrialization poverty alleviation.
On August 25th, the researchers of "Jinka Life" walked into the goji berry base of Deyang Health Manor to find out. In 2013, Deyang Plantation signed a land circulation contract with the People's Government of Tongxin County. The circulation of land use rights is 25 years, every 5 years a grade, to pay the exchange fee to the government of Hexi Town, Tongxin County, which substantially improves and supports the lives of local people. Lv Jian, general manager of deyangsheng manor planting, introduced that the total investment of the goji berry base of deyangsheng manor is 120 million yuan, and it has basically reached mass production. Before 2016, the output of fresh fruit was as high as about 5,000 tons.
02 Organic standard "planted" into the field
"Chinese goji berries are in Ningxia, and organic goji berries are in the same heart." The Goji Berry Base of the Health Estate surveyed by "Jinka Life" shows that this is true. The whole process of production of the base implements fine management, in accordance with the production standards of organic goji berries, in the planting, fresh fruit drying and dried fruit storage, chilled fruit, jam, pulp, enzyme marketing and other links of strict implementation, built a set of production, processing, marketing integration of organic goji berry demonstration base. The survey found that the products grown in health are certified by Global Good Agricultural Practices (GLOBALGAP).
Naturally "appreciate" rice to eat. The goji berry base of Deyangsheng Manor was built in the Qingshui River Basin, the arid zone of central Ningxia and the "daodi" origin of goji berries recorded in the "Compendium of Materia Medica". Although surface water is non-drinking bitter water, it is rich in many minerals, and the goji berries grown have essential amino acids and trace elements. The Gobi Plateau belt at an altitude of 1600 meters, the annual sunshine is as high as 3300 hours, the annual effective accumulated temperature is 3000 °C, the original natural air, soil and water source, creating a unique regional environment for the growth of organic goji berries, all contain the origin, unique and high-quality deep meaning.

Seedlings are organically "fast" multiplying. Imported "outlet" products must ensure that there is a reliable, high-quality brand, and must start from the improvement of infrastructure. "Jinka Life" learned that based on the breeding needs of the new variety of goji berries, Ningqi No. 7, 60 greenhouse seedling fast breeding centers have been built for health care planting. Here we have to mention the technical term "phenological period" of wolfberry cultivation. It shows that with the regularity of the cold and summer seasons, goji berries form corresponding stages of germination, growth, budding, flowering, fruiting, fruit ripening, leaf fall and dormancy. Variety optimization is nothing more than who is ahead of the phenological period (Figure 1).

Don't underestimate the gap in a few days, in fact, whoever is more precocious will grab the market early. The market grabs early, but also grab well, which involves the economic and quality performance of goji berries, Ningqi No. 5 and Ningqi No. 1, the rate of superior grade fruit is 70 percentage points higher; the yield per mu is slightly reduced by 10-40 kg, but the average grain size of 50 grams of mixed dry fruits is 101 grains less, and the single fruit of Ningqi No. 7 varieties weighs 0.72 grams, compared with Ningqi No. 1 0.56 grams, an increase of nearly 30% (Figure 2).

Drops of "oil" fill "fat". According to the geological landform, Tongxin County is divided into three major areas: the Yanghuang Irrigation District in the west, the arid mountainous area in the central part and the dry farming area in the east, which are typical of the temperate continental climate mentioned above, and the drought and lack of water are also the biggest natural features. Meteorological data show that the average annual precipitation in the local area is about 259mm, but the evaporation is as high as 2325mm. In other words, the heavens send a part of the water, but the earth has to return it in nearly 9 times the amount. Deyangsheng Manor Wolfberry Base is located in the central arid belt of Tongxin County, water is as expensive as oil, so the base fully adopts efficient water-saving irrigation, and takes the first step in the production of organic wolfberries.
"Integration of water and fertilizer". Health care planting also integrates irrigation and fertilization, and adopts new agricultural technology to mix the organic standard fertilizer liquid with irrigation water, and through drip irrigation, evenly, regularly and quantitatively infiltrate the root development and growth area of the wolfberry tree. "Jinka Life" also saw that employees who had to cultivate health care applied farm manure to goji trees in some areas. "A crop and a flower depend on the fat." The "fertilizer" mentioned in the agricultural proverb actually refers to farm manure. Do not underestimate the small continuation of this fertilization method, it regulates the acidity and alkalinity of the soil, improves the soil structure, and promotes the formation of local regional microclimates. The researchers have lived in rural areas since childhood and have a deep understanding of this.
"Zero" pollution within a hundred miles. In addition to the use of organic standard biopesticides in the process of goji berry cultivation, de-health cultivation adheres to the standard of organic goji berry cultivation and radiates to the surrounding area. Therefore, the environmental requirements are strict, and there is no industrial pollution within a hundred miles.
Wash and dry. The base has built a GMP comprehensive processing workshop, forming a daily processing of 40 tons of chilled fruits, 80 tons of dried fresh fruits per day, an annual output of 500 tons of goji berry pulp oral liquid, an annual output of 500 tons of wolfberry jam and goji enzymes, dried goji berries, goji berry powder and other organic goji berry series products, improved the traceability system, and fully met the requirements of the "three nothings and one complete" of the state to promote sulfur-free processing of Chinese herbal medicines, aflatoxin-free, highly toxic pesticides and full traceability. At present, the health care planting industry has built 2 goji berry cleaning production lines, which are responsible for cleaning goji berries and removing dust and sand from goji berries. The base has also built 3 solar heat pump goji berry drying houses.
The "Jin card life" survey found that health cultivation is to improve the baking ability of goji berries, and the blood cost is enough. The harvest period of goji berries in Tongxin County is generally from June to October, of which the harvest period is from mid-June to late June, the peak period is from early July to late August, and the late period is from mid-September to late October. The average temperature during this period is 18.3 °C, and the drying of goji berries is also from June to October. The moisture content of goji berry fresh fruit is about 80%, the surface has a colloidal peel, and the drying room is equipped with a solar air collector and an air source high-temperature heat pump dryer. During the day, under the sunlight, the solar air collector directly to the drying system heating, when higher than the temperature required for the drying of goji berries, its control system will automatically adjust and then send it into the oven. When the weather is not sunny and the sunlight does not meet the requirements, the air source high-temperature heat pump starts to provide a heat source, thereby improving the yield of goji berries.
It is no wonder that from 2013 to the present, the health-grown goji berry products have been certified organic by the US Department of Agriculture NOP, the EU of the European Union and the JAS organic certification of the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries for many years. Taking the data obtained by "Jin card life" in 2018 as an example, after the analysis of France and Europe, SGS in Switzerland and Jiangsu Anshun and other testing institutions involved 550 pesticide residues, 470 items, 466 sampling inspections respectively, all the dried fruits of goji berries were planted healthily to reach "zero" pesticide residues, and their products also won the gold medal of high-quality fruits at the World Horticultural Exposition.
03 Picking fast "hedging" can not be paid cumbersome
Why in the above washing and drying links, the key is that the goji berries are "Miss Ya's body". Although the fruit of this adult knuckle length of strong vitality of the solanaceous plant is like "Lady's Life", the branches are like "Miss Body", not only quickly washed and dried, but also quickly picked back to the source.
Good harvesting time. Goji berries fall into flowers, giving birth to green young fruits, the fruit develops into orange fruits, and gradually the fruit color is bright red, the fruit stem is loose, the flesh is slightly soft, and the picking period has arrived.
"March winter hides March spring, head stubble goji berries red in June." Lu Jian introduced that Ningxia entered June, and it was the annual head stubble goji berry picking season. The purple flowers like the wind, the emerald green leaves of the trees, the red fruits like axon, the land of Ningxia in the ancient irrigation area on both sides of the Yellow River, and the poetic feelings of the agricultural idylls of the red rain that caici nuns are skillfully picking red rain are now being replaced by a new modern agricultural operation that integrates organic goji berry planting, production, deep processing, research and development and sales. Due to climatic influences, the harvesting cycle varies from place to place (Figure 3). Generally, the initial harvest is from mid-June to late June, about 7-9 days; the peak harvest period is from early July to late August, about 5-6 days; the final harvest is from mid-September to late October, about 8-10 days.

The inflorescences force professional picking. Observing plants, the flowering method is divided into single flowers and inflorescences, the former refers to "send you a flower", and the latter means "send you pieces of flowers".
The inflorescences of individual flowers distinguish between infinite and finite inflorescences. During the opening period, the inflorescence axis continues to grow, and the order of flowering is that the base blooms first and then to the apex, such as goji berry flowers; the flowers of the limited inflorescence open first from the top, limiting the inflorescence axis to continue to grow, and the order of flowering is from top to bottom, such as chrysanthemum. Since the goji flowers open from the bottom up and bear fruit in order, when picking mature goji berries, it is necessary to protect the unripe fruits, flowers, leaves and branches from damage; at the same time, the wolfberries are small and cannot affect the quality of the ripe fruits, and also put forward the requirement for goji pickers to stand with their bare hands.
The "Jinka Life" survey found that the order in which the goji berries opened forced the specialization of goji berries picking. Ningxia goji berry picking has always been manual, and there are two contradictions: the contradiction between manual picking efficiency and damage rate, and the contradiction between seasonal labor volume and manual picking cost. Lu Jian introduced that we cannot simply emphasize the efficiency of picking, but also emphasize the minimization of picking damage rate. "Jinka Life" learned that on July 20, 2020, the Science and Technology Department of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, together with Ningxia University, Northwest A&F University, Zhongning Science and Technology Bureau and other units, held a promotion meeting on the results of portable intelligent goji pickers at the wolfberry base of Ningxia Qitai Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. in Zhongning County, Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Taking the picking of goji berries in full fruit as an example, the net harvest rate of fresh fruit is 90%, the damage rate is only 5%, the picking efficiency is 3 to 5 times that of manual picking, and 56 catties can be picked per hour.
Daily and peak labor. The annual labor volume of the goji berry planting base reaches 300,000 people.
The daily employment has been non-stop from February to November from spring to winter. Goji berry operators specialize in the management of goji berry gardens at the Deyang Health Goji Berry Planting Base, with an average daily labor volume of between 500 and 800 people. "Jinka Life" visited a number of wolfberry farmers to understand that wolfberry trees can generally live for 60 to 100 years, the economic life of wolfberry trees through the seedling stage, young tree stage, fruit stage (into the peak of fruit), late fruit, aging period of five stages, for different stages, the need for pruning, fertilizer management, treatment of pests and diseases, cultivation of tree shape, truncation of old branches, pinching (plucking) long branches and other work, requiring a lot of labor.
The peak labor occurs between late June and late August during the goji berry picking period. The survey learned that in the local area, young laborers go out to work, and once it is time for the goji berry picking season, the old people and children who stay behind get up early and greedily, and go to such professional plantations as health care planting, competing with the speed of maturity of goji berries. Goji berry picking has become the first choice for farmers to increase their seasonal income. For example, the goji berry pickers who have to be planted health care come from Deyangsheng Village and Dry Tianling Village, and the demonstration effect of making money at the doorstep of their homes has also driven surrounding villagers such as Shanghewan Village, Xiahewan Village and Wujiahewan Village to come to work. In the summer, the picking workers are mainly students and the elderly. The elderly go to the large-scale wolfberry garden to pick wolfberries, "work without leaving the soil, earn money to take care of the family." Of course, there are also some foreigners who go to work in wolfberry orchards, "leaving their hometowns to work and earn money to support their families." As a result, the health plantation has won the title of "Leading Enterprise in Poverty Alleviation" in Ningxia.
The output of goji berries per mu of goji berries in the health care base is about 300 to 350 catties, and the daily labor volume during the peak period of picking reaches 4500 people, and the daily picking of goji berries is between 70 tons and 80 tons. The "Jinka Life" survey learned that hand-picked goji berries can be picked up to 120 to 130 catties a day, and the annual labor expenditure of the health goji berry planting base is about 10 million yuan or more.
Ma Xuhua is inseparable from idleness. Villager Ma Xuhua worked here after the completion of the goji berry planting base in deyangsheng Manor, ending the dilemma of nesting in the homeland, relying on the sky to eat, and having no fixed source of income. From February to November, it is fixed in the wolfberry garden, pruning, spreading the goji berries (after the goji berries germinate and before flowering, gently wipe or break by hand to remove the excess and brittle buds), set the shoots, hoe the grass, fertilize and plant protection, pick the goji berries; stay in the processing workshop in winter, color sorting, sorting and packaging the goji berries. This is the "desk calendar" of Ma Xuhua's work in the past ten years. She told Jinka Life that she now earns about 3,000 yuan a month and nearly 40,000 yuan a year. Spending ten minutes riding a bicycle to get to and from the base and home, Ma Xuhua's "two points and one line" not only takes care of the family's little grandson, but also goes to work to earn money, and the work and life of the two are a microcosm of the local villagers. In the goji berry planting base of Deyang Health Manor, there are not a few villagers like Ma Xuhua who are inseparable from daily and peak, idle and busy labor. At the same time, she spans the daily routine of the goji berry planting base and the peak picking labor.
Advance pad mode. In the past, the rapid picking of goji berries could not "hedge" the cumbersome and cumbersome payment of wages, which is a fact found by the survey. Health Care Plantation has reached a partnership with 19 wolfberry field administrators, who, as the manager of the wolfberry plantation, each contracts between 300 mu and 500 mu of goji berry land, and is specifically responsible for the planting, maintenance and picking of goji berries. Healthy planting is for goji berry field administrators, who are directly facing goji berry pickers and workers who work on a daily basis. Workers pick goji berries, and the field administrators send them to the health care planting, thus forming the wolfberry logistics; the health planting, processing and sales of goji berries to obtain income, and pay the field administrator the advance payment and management fees, so as to form a capital flow.
"Golden Card Life" found that the goji berry field administrator advanced the salary in two aspects. First, in the daily work of wolfberry cultivation, the wages of workers are paid in advance. Wolfberry field administrators hire workers to carry out daily maintenance in the wolfberry garden, and their wages are generally settled on a monthly basis, and the wolfberry field administrator needs to advance the salary in advance, and then the health plant must be settled with the wolfberry field administrator. Second, during the purchase of goji berries, the wages of the picking workers are advanced. Goji berry field managers hire workers to pick goji berries during the goji berry picking period. Due to the high mobility of goji berry pickers, they have to settle in cash daily. The goji berry field manager directly weighs, each basket of goji berries is about 30 catties, and the cost of picking each basket is about 66 yuan. "Jinka Life" learned that during the peak period of goji berry picking, the wolfberry garden is crowded, the weighing and delivery efficiency is low, the picking workers stretch for thousands of meters, and the queue often takes an hour and a half. These goji berry field administrators send the purchased goji berries to the purchase point of health care planting every day, and the settlement cycle between the latter and the wolfberry field administrator is generally about 7 days, and the manual accounting between the health plantation and the wolfberry field administrator may occasionally cause errors in the weight and funds of the wolfberry. From this point of view, the settlement of the picking day is also the advance of the wolfberry field administrator to pay the picking workers.
"Pain points" chain. From the three dimensions, it can be seen that the payment "pain points" bring out the quality "pain points".
First of all, cash payments are cumbersome as the primary reason. The payment is small and frequent, and it is necessary to go to different banks every day to withdraw cash and exchange change by the goji berry field administrator under the health plantation, and there is also a risk of loss of cash depository, which is cumbersome and cumbersome to change money. Lu Jian introduced to "Jinka Life" that the daily income of pickers during the goji berry picking period is 160 yuan to 200 yuan, and the maximum daily settlement amount of labor fees is as high as 500,000 yuan. At the picking site during the fruiting period, the settlement flow is dense, and the pressure of the payment is settled and cleared is too great, so that the field administrator of the single settlement queue of goji berries should organize a group of 2 people to cooperate in the settlement, and still cannot match the picking speed. As a result, it takes an average of an hour and a half for pickers to queue, resulting in inefficiencies.
Second, the high cost of doing business is an important reason. During the peak period, the goji berry field administrator needs to advance nearly 250,000 yuan per day for the labor costs of the picking workers, and then settle with the health plantation about once a week, and the capital turnover pressure is extremely high. This "three noes" highlight the technical literacy of goji berry pickers.
Do not pick wet, the best time to pick goji berries is in the morning after the dew dries, or after the sun sets in the evening, if there is dew or rain in the morning, the grains are not dried and picked, the fruit surface is easy to be contaminated by bacteria for a long time, and the goji berries are inferior when they meet the water; do not touch, and use pots, barrels, baskets and baskets to prevent them from becoming black after drying; soon put, otherwise the freshly picked goji berries sweat due to strong breathing, and then dry the fruit after a long time. In fact, this "three noes" deepens the degree of "pain points" of goji berry quality due to the "pain points" paid.

Paying for work in cash is the most headache for goji berry field administrators, or for business enterprises such as health care planting.

Of course, given the process of acceptance of new things by pickers, this year's acquisition season continues to retain the cash settlement method.
Banks have a lot to do in the field of serving goji berry smart acquisitions. Liu Guang, deputy general manager of the capital settlement business department of the Ningxia Branch of CCB, believes that through the interconnection of inter-bank payment channels and production and marketing service platforms with UnionPay, the bank guides picking workers to apply for bank cards in batches at the end, while providing convenient offline non-cash settlement and ensuring the safety of funds to achieve a closed loop of payment, and uses the goji berry planting and acquisition transaction data formed by the platform to carry out a wider, more reliable and more inclusive "guangzhipu" and "goji berry loan" products based on big data for health planting and field administrators. "Pain points" relieve pain. First of all, the settlement efficiency has been significantly improved. 05 The foreseeable future
The "concentric model" of health care planting reflects the acquisition form of labor-intensive agricultural economy, optimizes the past only provides information bookkeeping and mobile payment functions, and solves the "pain points" related to health care planting payment in one step. Ningxia wolfberry production area to implement the "concentric model" has made a good start, the national wolfberry planting coverage as the basic traction, the promotion value gradually revealed.
According to the data compiled by the China Forestry Yearbook and Zhiyan Consulting, in 2020, the output of goji berries in China reached 441,200 tons, which is 2.32 times that of 2021 (Figure 6).

During the observation period from 2014 to 2020, the purchase price of goji berries nationwide fell all the way down to 2018 after hitting a high point in 2015. The data shows that Qinghai, Gansu, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and other production areas have successively added more than 2 million mu of wolfberry planting area from 2012 to 2016, reaching the peak fruit period in 2016, and the growth rate of terminal demand is lower than the growth rate of wolfberry production. The goji berry base of deyang health manor surveyed by "Jinka Life" reached the peak fruit period in 2019, and it is already looking forward to the purchase price of goji berries entering the climbing channel, with an increase of 8.13% year-on-year in that year and a year-on-year increase of 15.77% in 2020 (Figure 7).

In 2020, the acquisition market size of China's goji berry industry reached 18.146 billion yuan, which is 1.89 times that of 2014 (Figure 8).

According to the Statistical Bulletin of National Economic and Social Development of relevant provinces and autonomous regions in each year, the cultivation of goji berries in China is mainly distributed in Ningxia, Qinghai, Gansu, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Hebei and other provinces and autonomous regions. In 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017, the output of goji berries in Ningxia and Qinghai accounted for 43.09%, 48.51%, 49.04% and 46.73% of the national total respectively (Figure 9), and the proportion of goji berry production in the two places in the national total was decreasing, which also reflected that goji berries have been widely cultivated throughout the country.
