On the morning of October 17, the groundbreaking ceremony of Taicang Branch of Ruijin Hospital and the centralized opening activities of key projects of Taicang Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Month were held. Ruijin Hospital Taicang Branch laid the foundation stone, and 124 projects with a total investment of 57.17 billion yuan began to open.
At the event, Xu Kunlin, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, Tan Ying, director of the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, Wang Xingpeng, director of the Development Center of Shanghai Shenkang Hospital, and Wang Xiangyuan, secretary of the Taicang Municipal Party Committee, jointly laid the foundation for the construction of the Taicang Branch of Ruijin Hospital.
Wang Xiangyuan, secretary of the Taicang Municipal Party Committee, said in his speech that the successful start of the Taicang Branch of Ruijin Hospital marks the continuous acceleration of the process of Taicang taking the lead in "sharing the city with Shanghai". The city will strengthen close cooperation with Ruijin Hospital, provide the best and most comprehensive services, spell out "Taicang Speed" under the premise of ensuring "Ruijin quality", and strive to build Taicang Branch into a first-class modern hospital. The start of 124 projects will inject strong momentum into the optimization of Taicang's industrial structure and the improvement of urban energy levels. We will take this event as an opportunity to accelerate the construction of the north wing of the Hongqiao International Open Hub and continue to polish the city logo of "Shanghai Next Stop, Next Stop Shanghai". We will firmly adhere to the concept of "project is king", all eyes on the project stem, everything revolves around the project, create the best business environment, promote the rapid construction of the project at full speed, achieve early production, and continue to set off a powerful offensive of the project construction series sprint.
On February 25 this year, the Taicang Municipal People's Government and the Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine reached a strategic cooperation agreement to cooperate in the construction of Taicang Loujiang New Town Hospital (Taicang Branch of Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine). The project is a government-run non-profit public hospital, which is built according to the standards of a tertiary first-class general hospital. The first phase of the project covers an area of 181 acres, with 1,000 beds (600 in the first batch) with a total investment of 3.98 billion yuan.
Since the signing of the contract, Taicang has fully promoted the landing of the Taicang Branch project of Ruijin Hospital, and promoted the approval, demolition and other work at full speed, and it took only 118 days from project establishment to construction. Next, Taicang will continue to accelerate the construction of the project, build the Taicang Branch of Ruijin Hospital into a first-class tertiary hospital, build it into a demonstration project for the construction of a healthy Yangtze River Delta, and provide strong support for Ruijin Hospital to create "Asia's first-class demonstration hospital".
Since the beginning of this year, Taicang's high-quality economic and social development has shown a strong momentum, and the number of key projects and investment in Suzhou has led Suzhou. As of the end of the third quarter, the city's provincial, Suzhou and municipal key projects had completed investment of 5.182 billion yuan, 38.173 billion yuan and 56.988 billion yuan respectively, and the annual investment completion rate was 83.6%, 104.0% and 96.8% respectively.
