It often forms large flocks, and when the ibises fly together, it is like a red cloud floating up, and the scene is very spectacular.

According to the person in charge, Huayang Lake has a small beach, fruit forest, mangrove forest, rice field and other habitats suitable for different types of birds, attracting many birds to inhabit, forage and breed. The Majiao River on the west side and the Aquatic Botanical Garden have built an ecological island with a total area of about 30,000 square meters, which will become a "paradise for birds" and provide a better environment for birds to survive.
In 2019, the park was selected as the first batch of nature education bases in Guangdong Province, with science popularization education centers, wetland plant display gardens and other science popularization education points. Here, visitors can get close to nature, learn about diverse flora and fauna, watch birds and flowers of different shapes, and carry out a variety of study and research activities.
At the same time, it is also a scientific research monitoring site, and a long-term series of basic data is accumulated by setting up dynamic monitoring sites such as sediment, soil environmental monitoring points, and hydrological monitoring points, so as to grasp the environmental changes in the park and provide a basis for formulating scientific and reasonable habitat management countermeasures.
