On September 23, the final seminar on the study of juvenile justice law was held in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province. Present at the meeting were Sun Qian, member of the party leading group and deputy procurator general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate; Shi Weizhong, director of the Third Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate's Criminal Procuratorate; Zheng Xinjian, director of the Fourth Department; and Na Yanfang, director of the Ninth Department; Song Yinghui, professor of the Law School of Beijing Normal University; Yao Jianlong, director of the Institute of Law of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences; and Zhang Hongwei, dean of the School of Humanities of Jinan University.

Sun Qian pointed out that participating in the healthy growth of minors is related to the future of the country and the nation, and it is necessary to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, conscientiously implement the "Opinions of the CPC Central Committee on Strengthening the Legal Supervision of Procuratorial Organs in the New Era", strengthen the judicial protection of minors, actively promote the application and transformation of the results of the project, serve the judicial practice of minors better with the results of the project, and make theoretical contributions to the development of the socialist juvenile justice system with Chinese characteristics.

Sun Qian stressed that it is necessary to adhere to the problem-oriented approach, vigorously promote the scientific concept and principle of juvenile justice, and leverage all parties to form a joint force for the judicial protection of juveniles. At the same time, it is necessary to adopt diversified measures to strengthen the publicity and promotion of the results of the project, so as to create a better atmosphere for promoting the practice of juvenile justice.

It is reported that the juvenile justice law research project is a key project of the National Social Science Fund undertaken by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, which systematically studies a series of major issues such as the theory, principles and specific procedures for the construction of China's juvenile justice system through different perspectives such as theoretical research, empirical analysis, and legislative proposals, and its result, "Research on China's Juvenile Justice System", has been completed in three years.

Bian Jianlin, president of the Criminal Procedure Law Society of the China Law Society, Zhang Jianwei, professor of the Law School of Tsinghua University, and He Ting, professor of the Law School of Beijing Normal University, talked about their views as guests.
