Following the flight of 25 PLA military planes around Taiwan on April 12 this year, the record for the most sorties since Taiwan's defense department released statistics.
In this regard, the US Department of Defense called the PLA's move "destabilizing" and increasing the so-called "risk of misjudgment", and said that the United States will continue to deepen the so-called "unofficial security relationship" with Taiwan to ensure that Taiwan has sufficient so-called "self-defense capabilities".
At a press conference held by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council today, in response to a reporter asking what kind of information was revealed by the PLA military plane in this move, Ma Xiaoguang, spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said: As everyone knows, the root cause of tension and turmoil in cross-strait relations is the DPP authorities blindly adhering to the "Taiwan independence" stand, refusing to recognize the "1992 Consensus, which embodies the one-China principle," and constantly inciting "anti-China hatred of China" sentiments on the island out of political self-interest, provoking confrontation between the two sides of the strait, and obstructing and undermining normal cross-strait exchanges. Even under the current worsening situation of the epidemic situation on the island, they still ignore the life, health and safety of the people on the island and put the selfish interests of seeking "independence" above the well-being of the people. The responsibility for the development of cross-strait relations to this state lies entirely with the DPP authorities.
