After more than 30 years of filmmaking, he wanted to donate film equipment

Born in 1962, Li Shilong, an old Zhengzhou native and a veteran film director, came up with the idea of donating his film shooting equipment after more than 30 years of art. On December 15, Li Shilong told the Dahe Daily reporter that his home was stacked with various professional film shooting equipment accumulated over the past 30 years, and he wanted to find young people who loved movies, and if they were lucky, they would give them these belongings free of charge. Speaking of conditions, Li Shilong said that as long as three points are met, it is necessary to understand "what is entrepreneurship, what is master and apprentice, and what is willing to give." This is not the first time that Li Shilong has expressed his idea of donating equipment to the media, but he has not met a crush in all these years.

North Drift returned to Zhengzhou for many years to play "Personal Movie"

Li Shilong's father is a native of Shandong, he was born in Zhengzhou, claiming to be a native of Zhengzhou, and was assigned a job after being demobilized as a soldier in his early years, but Li Shilong loved to move and did not love to be quiet, and could not accept "sitting in the office". In his 20s, he came into contact with film and television shooting by chance, and felt that this was more in line with his personality and hobbies, and in the 1980s, Li Shilong left Zhengzhou to become a North Drifter.

Li Shilong started as a pyrotechnician, has been in the film circle for more than 30 years, successively doing makeup, costumes, props, lighting, production and director, according to public information, he has participated in the filming of more than 30 film and television works such as "Executive Director", "Honor", "Hero", "Whampoa Soldier", "Confession of the Heart" and so on, and has grown into a professional filmmaker.

In 2002, due to the need for care of his parents, Li Shilong ended his north drift and returned to Zhengzhou to start a business. At that time, he felt that movies were still unattainable for most people, and he thought about how to let high art enter the ordinary lives of ordinary people, and he came up with the idea of "personal films".

Li Shilong used Feng Xiaogang's film "Party A and Party B" as an example: "A personal film is a tailor-made movie for customers with shooting needs, from the script, lighting, costumes, shooting down a one-stop service, so that everyone who is interested in movies has the opportunity to become the protagonist of the movie." ”

Although it is not popular, it is still optimistic about "personal movies"

Don't say it was 2002, but in today's highly developed film industry, "making a movie for an individual" is also a forward-looking idea. Li Shilong recalled that in the 18 years of doing personal films, the highest fee was 600,000 yuan. "At that time, I made four personal films for my clients, each episode was about 40 minutes, which was a period drama, from the 70s to the 90s, so the cost of costumes, props and sets was higher." Li Shilong said, "If it is a modern drama, all kinds of props are convenient, generally forty or fifty thousand yuan." ”

The oldest customer Li Shilong received was 70 years old, "This old man is from Zhumadian, went south when he was young, and now his two sons run a business in Guangdong, donate money to their hometown to build roads, and build villas." The two sons made a movie of their father's life."

Compared with wedding films and corporate image promotional films, Li Shilong believes that the artistry of personal films is stronger and has more collecting value, and many customers are also collecting memories and remembering youth. "The cost of professional institutions to officially make films is often tens of millions, which is unbearable for ordinary people, and personal films are a bridge between film art and ordinary people." Although Li Shilong's personal film career has not developed well over the years, he is still optimistic about this business model.

Physically and mentally exhausted, it is better to donate equipment to clean up

Li Shilong's entrepreneurial experience is accompanied by hardships, he admits that there have been many things in the work over the years, coupled with the fact that his health is not very good, as early as 2014, when his father was seriously ill, Li Shilong had the idea of giving up making movies, but looking at these shooting equipment at home, he was worried about how to deal with it. "Several cameras, large and small, covering all kinds of costumes from the 1920s and 1980s, as well as props, lighting, tripods, wires, etc., have been hard worked hard by me over the years, and exchanged for real money and silver."

Li Shilong frankly said that he wanted to send these things out, the original intention was to cultivate a group of young people, in 2014 he took the initiative to find the media to find interested young people, after the media published, replied that there are children like movies. "After the two sides communicated, it was said that it was a disabled child, and I said: Is this not appropriate? Because there are too many and miscellaneous equipment, there are also basic requirements for operation, and it is good for children to like it, but they must do what they can according to the actual situation. Li Shilong introduced, "There was also a sophomore student who texted me and said: 'Hello director, I like movies, thank you, you send me something to send me logistics!'" At that time, I was particularly puzzled, if you calculate according to the value, these things are worth at least hundreds of thousands, at least have an attitude, right? ”

Today, Li Shilong still has not given up the idea of donating equipment, he said: "For the formal professional institutions that shoot movies, these things are not nothing, but they are very valuable for individuals." As long as they like the film industry, I can train for free, teach them to learn technology, and even send them to the crew for further study. A lot of people ask me what the purpose of the donation is, I just want to make the best use of it, and these things are also put away, because I don't dry it, these devices don't make sense to me. ”

Of course, in the face of the gift object, Li Shilong also put forward three standards of "entrepreneurship, mentoring and giving". Now micro-video is very popular, the state also advocates entrepreneurship, for young people to start a business to provide a lot of preferential policies, Li Shilong hopes that young people should have the correct entrepreneurial spirit, put forward the "spirit of mentoring", Although Li Shilong did not propose formal worship, but hope that young people can have the morality of the teacher, be a righteous person, "willing" is to hope that young people to make the right trade-off. "There are many young people who want to make blockbusters and do cinema movies as soon as they come up, but the important thing is to be able to sink their hearts, hone themselves, do not care about the immediate gains and losses, and do not rush to make big money." Li Shilong said.
