According to Mr. Yang Yiyan, the author of "Red Rock", one of the character prototypes of "Two-Gun Old Lady" is Chen Lianshi, one of the main founders and leaders of the guerrilla column in Huaying Mountain in Eastern Sichuan, and the character setting in the TV series "Legend of the Old Lady with Two Guns" is also based on Chen Lianshi. Zhao Hongwenguo, whose original name was Hong Wenguo, was born in 1881 in Xiuyan County, Liaoning Province. Her husband's surname was Zhao, so after marriage, she took her husband's surname and changed her name to Zhao Hongwenguo. After the "918" incident, Zhao Tong, the third son of Zhao Hongwenguo, was dissatisfied with the japanese wreaking havoc in his hometown and specially returned from Beiping to form an anti-Japanese volunteer army. At that time, Zhao Hongwenguo was close to spending time, but his enthusiasm for resisting Japan did not diminish, and he not only sold his property to raise funds for the anti-Japanese resistance, but also used his home as a command post and transportation station for the anti-Japanese army.

Probably due to her extraordinary talent, Mrs. Zhao, who is in her 50s, can open her bow with both hands and win unanimous praise from everyone, and the outside world calls her "old lady with two guns". In order to resist Japan's enslavement education, Zhao Hongwenguo restored the Zhao Jiabaozi Primary School, which was dissolved due to war, insisted on teaching Chinese, and taught students to love their country and resolutely not to be slaves to the country.

In 1933, Bai Junshi and Liu Zhuangfei came to the Zhao family and, with the help of Zhao Hongwenguo and his second son Zhao Lianjun, formed the anti-Japanese "Einsatzgruppen", which was later renamed the "Young Iron Blooded Army". However, Zhao Hongwenguo's confidence in resisting Japan did not waver, but he went to Dagushan to buy a printing press and went to Zhao Jiabaozi Primary School to organize students to print anti-Japanese propaganda materials. At the same time, he sneaked into Fengcheng, Xiuyan, Zhuanghe, Gushan and other counties with his daughter-in-law to distribute anti-Japanese leaflets.

For more than two months, the Japanese army threatened and seduced Mrs. Zhao, and she was unyielding and did not reveal half a word. The Japanese army had no choice but to report secretly to the Kwantung Army and request that Zhao Hongwenguo be executed. Before the execution, with the cooperation of the Predator, Mrs. Zhao was released from prison on parole and rescued the villagers and clansmen who were imprisoned.
After that, Zhao Hongwenguo went to Beiping with his son, and with the help of the Northeast Salvation Congress, raised arms and supported the Young Predator Army. After more than a year of development, the Predator Army has continued to grow and develop, gradually developing from southern Liaoning to Liaodong and Rehe, with a total of 11 fronts and more than 11,000 people under its command. Zhao Tong, the commander-in-chief of the Predator Army, established the "Provisional Government of Southern Liaoning" and was elected "President of the Government". After that, the Liaonan Young Iron Blooded Army experienced 300 large and small battles, killing more than 4,000 enemy and capturing more than 2,000 Japanese puppet troops.

After the beginning of the All-out War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Zhao Hongwenguo and his son's young iron-blooded army were reorganized by the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region of the Eighth Route Army, and Zhao Hongwenguo personally served as deputy commander and chief of staff, and cooperated with the Eighth Route Army in fighting many major victories. Zhao Hongwenguo's fame rose to the attention of Chiang Kai-shek. In order to win her over, in the spring of 1940, she was not only personally received by Chiang Kai-shek and taken a group photo with chiang kai-shek, but also received a handwritten letter from Chiang Kai-shek's "mother of guerrillas." Zhao Hongwenguo was grateful for this.

It turned out that after the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Chiang Kai-shek, in order to win over Zhao Hongwenguo, specially named her lieutenant general commander of the "General Headquarters of the Second Road Appeasement of the Hebei-Liao Border Region." Since then, Zhao Hongwenguo has been dead set on the Kuomintang, and after the victory of the War of Resistance, she returned to the northeast with her own team to fight for Chiang Kai-shek. After the Battle of Liaoshen, Zhao Hongwenguo's troops were wiped out, and she fled to Chongqing with her family.
At the same time that the Kuomintang was leaving the mainland, Zhao Hongwenguo accepted Chiang Kai-shek's appointment and set foot on the western Sichuan Plain with a large amount of ammunition donated by Chiang Kai-shek, ready to cooperate with the Kuomintang's lurking agents to sabotage. In 1950, the bandits in western Sichuan confused people, and Zhao Hongwenguo thought that it was a "heavenly opportunity" and gathered 4,000 rabble-rousers to attack Shifang County. As a result, before her team reached the county seat, she was confronted by the People's Liberation Army.
In April 1950, the remnants of Zhao Hongwenguo, who had wandered to the town of Gaoqiao, were completely wiped out by the People's Liberation Army. Zhao Hongwenguo escaped in disguise and was captured, and on July 16 of the same year, he was executed by firing squad. And this old lady with two guns who was not safe in the late festival was finally nailed to the column of shame of history, which is really lamentable.
