Wan Shu, a 96-year-old old Red Army soldier, straightened his waist, raised his hand to salute a standard military salute, and his right hand was only 4 fingers. "Where's the thumb?" The old man laughed with pride, and the story began with the "lost" thumb.
Ask those who have stories to tell stories, and listen to those who have faith talk about faith. Since the launch of the study and education on party history, the Hubei Provincial Military Region has excavated and used the resources of veteran cadres to carry out the theme activity of "five whole ten witnesses, one hundred and ten confessions again", inviting old party members to reminisce about the glory years, express their affection for the party, and dialogue with young people, which has played a good educational effect.
There is a belief called "follow the party for a lifetime."
Looking at a yellowed party card, He Jiangyuan, a civilian engineer at a cadre rest center of the Hubei Provincial Military Region, could not understand at first: "How can it have such a great magic power?" ”
The owner of the party card was named Fang Huai, former deputy commander of the air force of the Wuhan Military Region. In 1933, at the age of 17, he joined the Party for his heroic performance in the Fourth Anti-Encirclement and Suppression Campaign. Since then, the party card has become his most cherished treasure. Even on the long march, in order to reduce the weight, Fang Huai lost almost all his belongings, except for this party card that he had been hiding closest to his heart.
In 1936, Fang Huai was given the task of studying in Xinjiang, where the warlord Sheng Shicai was in power, and in order not to reveal his identity, he entrusted his party card to his comrade-in-arms Chen Heqiao for safekeeping. Chen Heqiao fought in the southern and northern wars, and always sewed this party card in the pocket of his intimate clothes. It has been 12 years since the two reunited, and this precious party card has been returned to the owner intact.
In the study and education of party history, he Jiangyuan was extremely shocked when he saw a micro-video made against the background of this good story and learned that the protagonist was in the dry rest house where he was. At the end of last year, He Jiangyuan successfully passed the selection and became a civilian military personnel. After the excitement of joining the company, he began to doubt his choice: the work of the rest house was complicated, the standards were high and demanding, but the results were not obvious, and he once felt confused and even wanted to play a "retreat".
"What the party card condenses is the firm belief that revolutionary ideals are higher than heaven and that the iron heart follows the party." Listening to the stories around him, He Jiangyuan made waves in his heart, and he wrote in his experience: "Organize to join the party once in a lifetime, and think about joining the party once in a lifetime." When you can't be satisfied, you must think of following the party, and when you are not satisfied, you will pick a pick. ”
This year, the provincial military district has organized more than 30 similar religious dialogues. The officers and men sighed that everyone in the old cadres was a vivid red book, and from them they understood what loyalty and what faith meant.
There's a belief called "Struggle for a Lifetime."
Chen Congo, director of the mobilization department of the Enshi Military Sub-district, said that he was lucky to meet Zhang Fuqing.
Prior to the exchange to the provincial military district system, Chen Congo had been working at a base for nearly 20 years and had participated in a number of major weapons test missions. In August 2018, he was transferred to enshi military sub-district to work. A friend advised him: "After 20 years of struggle in the Gobi Desert, it is time to return to the family, the military sub-district cannot do a great job, the work can be relaxed, almost on the line!" ”
In the study and education of party history, Zhang Fuqing, who was also in the Enshi area, entered the spiritual world of Chen Congo. "In 1955, Zhang Fuqing gave up the superior conditions of the big city, took root in Enshi with a backpack, sealed up his military achievements, and continued to struggle for the local economic development and the masses to live a good life." Zhang Fuqing's story is deeply moving, and his choice makes Chen Congo ponder: "The struggle is not a period, but a lifetime." Inspired by Zhang Fuqing's spirit, Chen Congo enthusiastically threw himself into the new post, applied the experience innovation of the troops to the field of national defense mobilization, and the intelligent command information system for national defense mobilization developed by him was affirmed by his superiors.
From the battle hero Zhang Fuqing to the anti-war hero Wan Shucai, from the heroic model Wang Qingzhen of Shangganling to Xiao Xiqian, the heroic commander of the "Jinan Hero Company"... In the study and education of party history, the provincial military district arranged for old heroes to have dialogues with officers and men, and the officers and men gained more than just one battle story after another. Chen Congo said: Although the provincial military district is not a front-line unit, it must not "dim the shadow of the sword and light and go far away to fight with the drums and horns." As far as the servicemen are concerned, they must always be prepared to "fight tomorrow and go out tonight."
There is a belief called "giving a lifetime."
On May 19, at the anti-epidemic exhibition of the Hubei Provincial Military Region, a donation slip of "11,800 yuan" made the officers and soldiers tear up.
This was left by Tang Guangyou, a "veteran of the fight against cancer" and former deputy commander of the Xianning Military Subdistrict. During the epidemic last year, Donald's condition deteriorated, but he was worried about taking up medical resources and insisted on not going to the hospital. Not only that, he also did not forget to donate to the frontline of the fight against the epidemic, made a will, and donated his body to medical institutions for research. "What I believe in the most is the party. As long as I live for one day, I will do something for the party and the people..." Today, Elder Tang has left, but his diaries and videos still affect and touch the stubble of officers and soldiers.
"Faith is like gold, and only by exhausting utilitarian impurities will it become more dazzling." This is the understanding of Su Yi, a post-90s soldier of the provincial military district. On that day, Su Yi accompanied Ma Xu, a figure who "moved China", to the bank to make a donation. At the prompt of the bank counter salesman, Ma Lao entered the password, confirmed the signature, the transfer amount was 5577526 million yuan, and the balance in the card was 0.39 yuan... Su Yi said that this set of figures and lenses, he will remember for a lifetime.
"Without a firm belief in serving the people wholeheartedly, it is difficult to achieve this spiritual realm." During the study and education of party history, the Wuhan Second Cadre Rest Center of the Provincial Military Region invited Ma Lao to give lectures on party history to the officers and men and to dialogue with the moral models around them.
Why can communists make such dedication? One cadre found the answer in the Communist Manifesto: in the past all movements were "for the benefit of the few or for the benefit of the minority", while the proletarian movement was "for the benefit of the overwhelming majority of the people".
There's a belief called "Transforming a Lifetime."
"My life can be summed up simply as two books." When communicating with officers and men, Liu Zhongxin, 89-year-old former director of the Classified Department of the Air Force Headquarters of the Wuhan Military Region, talked the most about his "two accounts": a thin book that simply registered the various honors he had won; and a thick book that recorded in detail his mistakes since joining the revolution and the various opinions put forward by his comrades on him.
In the article "Handling Disputes, The Flag Is Unclear", Liu Zhongxin wrote that in the process of transforming the Kuomintang insurrectionary troops in 1950, he did not take a clear stand to criticize the problem of the old officers who went crazy by drinking wine; in the article "With a big mouth and a decline in prestige", he reminded himself not to forget the experience of being criticized by superior leaders in 1953 because of his pride and arrogance in his work.
"The courage to make meritorious contributions to the people is a kind of responsibility; the courage to admit one's mistakes is also a kind of responsibility." As a Communist Party member, we must live to be old, learn from the old, and transform into the old. In the dialogue of faith, Liu Zhongxin's voice is full of philosophy and inspiration.
Not long ago, a certain department of the provincial military region held an organizational life meeting to reflect and examine the problems left over from history and the lag in advancing. In the course of the discussion, a member of the party committee avoided stressing overemphasizing objective reasons such as complicated problems and too few people and too many incidents, and launched a complaint, which was stopped on the spot by the leaders of the provincial military region who attended the meeting for guidance: "The reason why the proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation make fewer mistakes and do not make mistakes is that they often carry out self-criticism, do not 'cherish feathers,' are not afraid of losing their 'worm horns and false names,' and are not afraid of showing their 'diarrhea heads' to others." Subsequently, the leadership of the party committee of the provincial military district guided the ministry to immediately coordinate the local rectification plan and implementation schedule.
In dialogue with the faith of the elders, the hearts of officers and soldiers have become brighter and brighter. A cadre wrote down two sentences of Comrade Zhou Enlai in his party history study notebook: "Every party member should have the following understanding from the moment he joins the Communist Party: Prepare to transform his thinking until he is old" "If a Communist Party member thinks that his transformation is complete and does not need to be reformed again, he is not a good Communist Party member."
