Flowers, in the eyes of people, have always been beautiful things. Whenever the flowers are in full bloom, people flock to see them. Flower viewing is a great pleasure, if there are two or three friends to accompany, it is more perfect, Su Shi's cousin, the famous painter Wen Tong of the Song Dynasty wanted to go to the flowers, but suffered from no one to accompany, so he wrote a poem "Beiguo", the original text is as follows:
Around the trees hanging in the shade of the embankment, the warm smoke in the depths of the birds crying.
Who came here to bring wine, but it is a pity to refuse the frost flower a stream.
"Around the trees weeping the shade of the embankment", the vines that climb the trees grow cover the winding creek path. On a sunny day, the poet went out of Beiguo and walked on the creek path in the shade, and the cool breeze blew through. Sunlight filtered through the gaps between the branches and leaves, dappled and scattered on the ground. Looking at the beautiful scenery in front of him, the poet is probably very comfortable, right?
"Birds cry in the depths of warm smoke", birds chirping from the stream under the sun. The word "shade" in the first sentence implies that it is a sunny day, so the "warm smoke" in this sentence is logical. Under the sunlight, there is a faint mist on the surface of the water. At the edge of the stream, in the woods, there are flocks of birds playing. The poet fully mobilizes the visual and auditory senses to paint a beautiful picture of the autumn stream.
"Who comes here with the wine", who comes here with me to enjoy the view? In the face of the beautiful scenery in front of him, the poet felt a little regretful, because this time he was traveling alone and could not share the joy of traveling with others. Therefore, the poet thought, if you call two or three friends, enjoy the scenery together, and taste wine together, wouldn't you be happy?
"It's a pity to refuse the frost flower a stream", if you don't call a friend to come to enjoy the scenery together, it is a pity that the wood hibiscus flowers on both sides of the stream are blooming. The flowering period of the wood hibiscus flower is between August and September, so it is also called frost rejection flower. The fiery wood hibiscus flowers on both sides of the stream strengthened the poet's idea that he must invite friends to enjoy the flowers and drink, and not to live up to the good scene in front of him.
On a good autumn day, the poet went out of Dongguo and walked along the shaded creek path, and the birds frolicked in his ears. Until he found the wood hibiscus flowers on both sides of the stream, he felt some regret. In the face of the beauty in front of him, the poet thought of sharing, enjoying flowers, drinking wine, and chanting poems with friends, which could make himself doubly happy. The poet has a pair of eyes that discover beauty, and a heart that knows how to share.
